Does he put blush on his cheeks or does he naturally look like a ventriloquist dummy?
I followed HuffPost's link to the verse and it turns out the pope was pulling his punches a bit. In context it's rather more clear and direct : Matthew 25:31-46
I think Mike Johnson stormed off home to search for the bit about "charity begins at home" and about how kindness is meant to be an individual, unforced thing rather than a government thing, and how walls and borders are godly, but all he could find was look after foreigners and poor people.
How frustrating for him to find his Bible so woke!
Leviticus 19:33-34
33 “‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them. 34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
Guys, i need interpretation for this. 🤔
I wouldn't expect anything different from a christofacist.
Evangelicals think Catholics are doing the will of Satan, so I don't know why huffpo would be all like "seriously can u believe this guy lol"
When I heard "American evangelicals worship John Wayne, not jesus" it all made sense
Protestants don't consider Catholics to be "Christian" at all.
I got unceremoniously told that by my now (ex) in-laws while deciding on what kind of wedding we were going to have.
I may have been a little too snarky in my response when I said "Bitch, we were the ORIGINAL christians."
Evangelicals and indeed most Christians have zero interest in following the words of Jesus and would gleefully crucify him again. These people are literally anti-Christ.
I mean, I dont particularly identify as anything but I'd buy the man a beer.
“When someone comes into your country, comes into your nation, they do not have the right to change its laws or to change a society,” he said. “They’re expected to assimilate. We haven’t had a lot of that going on.”
Why should I be expected to grow as a human being?
The irony of their statement is that they're not wrong. The Europeans who came to America didn't assimilate, instead they came to America and set their own laws and made their own society. They did such a good job they now think it is their land.
If assimilation is expected then America as we know it shouldn't exist.
with critics accusing Johnson of hypocrisy and cherry-picking scripture to justify the policy.
Sounds like he understood the assignment quite well, actually. That's how ALL biblical argumentation works.
Only when it's ideological instead of philosophical.
The Bible also says hooking up with that qt you met on Grindr isn't infidelity as long as A. You condemn that qt in public and B. Your wife pretends she doesn't know.
i always get a kick out of cultists who claim their deity is omnipotent yet can also be tricked with basic wordplay, shits hilarious
Like the whole I'm still a virgin because it's just anal. Or mormon "soaking"
Shit is absurd
God is just like "well fuck, shoulda wrote that down, goddamnit"
...soaking?
Lmfao
It's when you just put your P in a V, but you don't do any thrusting. Because if you thrust, that's sex, and God will see it.
Bonus points for the "Jumpman" who jumps on the bed near the soaking party, and that creates a little friction. God can't see that either, because it's not you who initiated the movement.
Ex-Mormon here. For clarification, this was an extremely niche thing that happened between a few BYU students. It was not as widespread as the memes suggest. But please, by all means, continue embarrassing this fucking cult, they deserve it.
BYU is a Mormon university with extremely strict and frankly hilariously stupid 'Honor Code' rules that they take way too seriously. Things like, "Girls can't bare their shoulders or show any skin below the collarbone or above the knee." and "Men must be clean-shaven and have short hair." and "If you're gay or trans, pretend you aren't for the rest of your life." and "If you're straight, pretend that you're gonna wait for marriage."
It's the poop-hole loophole, but taken to an even greater logical extreme. Welcome to zealot logic.
You never just soak your dick in a tight twat? Have your friend shake the bed a little?
God must have a kickass legal team
