I would be very disappointed with that tatoo. It barely looks like the original and the original is way more symmetrical. But as long as they like it 👌🏻

Tabby cat patterns shift over time as the multicolored hairs of their fur grows. Which is why it's a dumb idea for a tattoo. But maybe in the moment they just really liked the design.
It captured a moment in time, and it's a representation of a source of love and affection. There are far worse tattoos out there, no need to shit on someone's artistic decisions.
Especially because without the cat, it's impossible to tell what it is either way. The pattern started out abstract and the tattoo is as close as it needs to be. It's a memory.

Weird how, on the cat, you have ⚫ ⚫ and then 3 tiers of stripes, but on the tattoo, they only do the top 2 tiers, leaving out the one on the bottom...
I was tempted to do that with our tabby’s markings… until I figured that they kind of look very suggestive in a labial sort of way, lol. To each their own, just not the kind of tattoo I personally was looking for

My brother got an ear tattoo to match the start pattern on his cat's ear.
They screwed up the top and bottom and spread it out too far... It should have been symmetrical. Cool idea though. Too bad about the execution.
