TBH I personally prefer Patric Catani's EC8OR project in the same vein. He was on Digital Hardcore Recordings for a while, but seems to confirm the impression that I get — that Alec Empire was too serious about his image and the whole ‘digital hardcore’ thing.

Thankfully, of course, plenty of people made synth-punk without any regard to Empire's doings: like my favorite compilation ‘Gabber Gabber Hey! - A Tribute to The Ramones’.
