Do you have more details? Chinese social media has endless content of LGBTQ people associating with Chengdu so I'm wondering what this person was doing specifically to catch heat

Probably a CIA op to stir up trouble. Chengdu was where the US consulate was before the CPC shut it down and the area saw an immediate drop in trouble-making. American shut down the consulate in Houston in retaliation and pretended like it was because they were spying. Spying on what, traffic on Melrose and Westheimer? This is all I know, it got pushed to my wechat which means the government wanted us to know it.
