right now mbin microblogs still have to be under a magazine (/community) and I had to make a separate community to have all my personal microblogs in one spot like I would have had with mastodon posts to my own mastodon account. I'd like to be able to microblog just as a tab in my user profile that aren't directly associated to any magazine / community and are only associated to my account. If this was a feature I would definitely switch to piefed since mbin did not implement the stated function (at least imo).

I remember around when Piefed was launched that the dev had interest in making the platform an hybrid threads/microblogging one like Mbin. Unsure what ever happened to that.

It sounds like you'd be interested in Friendica that lets you do this.
