Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

I’ve been looking into joining a Marxist group in my area (I’m based in the belly of the beast of imperialism), is there a good place for honest reviews of some of these groups? It seems like there’s more than I would’ve thought and I’m not sure how much sense it’d make to join multiple. They have a lot of similarities for sure, but I want to be doing more praxis and less posting

It usually depends on the area. I would do a little research and then join the largest socialist org in my area. If they're about the same size I'd look into PSL, FRSO, a unique local org, or even the DSA (there are pockets of commies in it).

Over time you might find you want to join a different org instead, but you'll probably only learn about which one you'd rather be at by joining your first one.

ok yeah that makes sense. Communists power comes from masses, so forming a larger mass seems like a reasonable first step. Thanks for the perspective
