Stomach hurting food goes down better with a glass of bone hurting juice.

A Little Caesars Hot N Ready only costs like $5-$6 and one night of not sleeping, so the bargain is occasionally tempting.

Honestly, the hot n ready slaps when it's fresh. The second it cools off, I'm out. It doesn't reheat well either.

I'll never be above eating that.

It's that loki?

okay but seriously is this actually a thing that happens to people? i can't recall ever eating food that made my stomach hurt, closest would be how some junk food makes me feel generally miserable or if i eat so much that i feel like i'm going to explode.

Kinda feels like a lot of people are living with IBS or somesuch and just assume that's normal..

Sometimes when I eat very spicy food, I can get stomach cramps after. I'm not sure why. Other times I'm fine. I love Indian food, especially spicy curries. Maybe I'm not drinking enough water or something beforehand. But as far as I know, I don't have IBS or anything like that.

Cap(saicin) cramps! More water beforehand might help, but I think the only way to really get rid of that response is to condition your body to the level of capsaicin you're putting in it. Even then, if you eat enough it's going to trigger a response.

It's intermittent for me. Most of the time I'm fine. But once in a while, the same level of spiciness will give me cramps. Who knows?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It's pretty normal to get cramps from a food that is much spicier than you're used to. I think that's what OP is implying with Indian food.

I like spicy food so it usually doesn't bother me, but if I put a couple ghost peppers in my food I'm going to feel it later.

Meh, what does that idiot know anyways, this is delicious!

Are we seriously censoring the word "hurt" now?

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

And it’s censored with an emoji

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

It's a hurtful word

Meanwhile, in your stomach...

It's probably been almost 2 years since I've eaten Indian food because last time I ate it I got the worst food poisoning of my life and I just have no interest in eating Indian food again.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't think that's a problem with the whole cuisine but maybe with the specific place? Because food poisoning being common with the whole cuisine would be a terrible thing for all the people who eat that daily.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I'm not saying that all Indian cuisine will give you food poisoning. What I meant was, the thought of eating it again makes my stomach churn. I love Indian food but now just thinking about it makes me a little queasy

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Aah, understandable. I recently saw someone basically saying things like what I mentioned, so I didn't realise what you meant.

I think Taco bell gets unnecessary grief for this.

It's barely even Mexican anyway. Watered down for Americans.
