Now I don't know what to think about this video I just watched on social media.
Sometimes you have to use the tools of the enemy to defeat the enemy. 🤗
I've just modified my thought process to not believe any photos any more. Only my Mark I eyeballs are trustworthy to me now.
Or ARE they?
Can't even trust my lying eyeballs...
Dude, in the future, let's say if there's a scandal, we won't even know if it's real or not, because AI can easily generate a video that's indistinguishable from reality, showing the beneficial truth. You've heard of Veo3, right? I think it will be fun :3
Not only will it create fake video and photos and articles, but it will also create fake comments, websites to back up the fake, and other articles leaching off of the original fake.
Digital media will become so unreliable that information itself will be at risk of being too untrustworthy to use or share.
Yeah, that's why it's better now to find reliable people from different parts of the world and tell each other what's really going on, otherwise I think you know... :3
As opposed to real AI photos?
As opposed to fake photoshopped photos, I suppose?
As opposed to real photoshopped photos?
Edit:/j
Fair point, but many photos are not edited to the point of fundamentally changing them. I wouldn't call a touched up wedding photo a "fake".
edit: I guess I was distracting from the point. Yes, "AI" already implies "fake". Guess if someone were to look for "how to spot fake photos" this would help them find this video?
Totes, I wouldn't either haha.
"real" photoshopped photos don't typically add things that aren't there, they just modify things that are.
just ask chatgpt bruh
I just act as if every photo is man made, that way I don't accidentally shit on a real artist by falsely calling their work AI.
I don't even know, in that case, to know for sure, you would have to know the person personally to know for sure or trust them, lol.
I can't tell if a work is AI generated, so, if someone posts something and they are genuine, I just trust them at their word. I'd rather call 10 AI art pieces good than calling a human made art piece bad.

A place for all those who loathe AI to discuss things, post articles, and ridicule the AI hype. Proud supporter of working people. And proud booer of SXSW 2024.
