I'm sure I've seen Homer hold Maggie before, but it still looks weird.
He holds her in "22 Short Films About Springfield".
But honestly that's why I picked it, it does seem like a rarity.
Doesn't he also hold her in the episode where he bowls 300, then does it again but is holding Maggie and knocks the "300" balloon out of the way?
Looks like not when he first wins, but a few times later on including after Maggie saves Homer from drowning.
And the ending.
