Re Minecraft, the "Vibrant Visuals" update only applies to Bedrock and not Java at the moment.

I assume most SteamDeck Minecraft players are using Java, so you won't see this particular change at this time.

Although it is coming later.

And Java has had shaders since forever.

I'm ready, but as a SteamDeck player I have to wait for mods like Controlify (and to a lesser extent Additive) to update before I can play.

I could hookup my keyboard/mouse... But handheld is just so convenient.

Hopefully it won't be too long, I'm excited to ride around on a ghast.

I've recently rediscovered the fun of these shows by asking my local bar to play them. They come on early and only sometimes overlap with sports. I wish more bars had game shows on. (Family Feud is another great one.)

But if course being able to watch them at home is a huge plus.

I was so excited in the late 90s as we came to the end of Voyager.

TNG has done such an excellent job building out the era. Then DS9 with the Dominion War really made me appreciate the political tension. As Voyager got close to home we got little bits of information. The Borg were largely defeated, we were home.

Time to explore the post-Voyager era!!!

Then we went back to the beginning... Ok...

I'm not surprised, but I agree with the hot take, so maybe it's only warm.

I think they keep interest in ActivityPub in order to keep regulators concerned with Antitrust at bay. The Fediverse isn't a real threat in Meta's view and keeping an engineer or two on it in order to stay invested is worth the cost.

Threads can say they are making an honest effort to work with the larger open source community and open federated internet. As an added bonus, it isn't actually a lie. Now the effort they're putting in is the absolute minimum, but it's there.

Now I still do think this is a positive. While most people on Threads will probably never leave, it does introduce them to the wider Fediverse. It makes the Fediverse a less scary thing.

AFAIK Pokemon doesn't do cloud saves.

The reason being to prevent duplication of Pokemon.

Given that the game is largely single player that seems like a stupid reason to me.

While I'm sure some people do a lot of breeding and IV training for the more competitive scene, be assume lots of people just hack together whatever team they need. Wonder Trade and Home have always been full of random shiny Pokemon.

I'm not familiar with the actor, but I am always intrigued by villain films.

Plus a you unknown actor playing a character who already appeared once (Creature Commandos) means they'll probably stick around for a while.

Plus Clayface is a shape shifter so he could be anywhere or anyone.
