good day today, got lots done , made some stuff, less chaos, more skills,
I can see a tunnel far away, can't see the light yet but I know it's there

Get it, girl!
What a life. Full of treats and brushed to sleep.
On the sheet of royal down.
Nothing got done today. Melbcat and I are being slugs
you got rest, recuperation and love done. πππ
Those days are necessary, no matter how often they're needed.
Anyone want an overbearing 7kg cat that refuses to listen, insists on licking your face while clawing your neck, flicks kitty litter everywhere, opens every cupboard that he can, must be involved in everything and is currently nuzzled my fingers while I try to type? Anyone? Please?
Of course I'm not being serious, but he's really A LOT today!
I don't know if he's real. I need a pic.
Oh, he's very real. And he will YEOWL to remind you that he's real.
He's beautiful and fluffy. I'll take him. You're a bitch π
He's already packaged up in the box, he's coming over! π¦ All jokes, we couldn't part with him, the house would be too quiet - although less stinky! Ten minutes ago I sneezed and he farted out of shock. He's certainly a character!
π that's so funny.
After the awful news out of India I decided to revisit a happier ending to a crazy situation and watched Sully. Damn near cried a few times just thinking about the goodness of people compared to what we see in the US today. Now I'm off to go watch some Mayday episodes and feel grateful for my life.
E: also, massive boo to Clint Eastwood and his anti government dickhead views for making the NTSB into some kind of villain, I guess it was just the beginning of the Trump years after all. Which is all the more sad to contrast with 2009, when it actually happened... Can't believe the GFC years feel better than what we have today.
That was tragic what happened in India, the fact by some miracle one person survived is somehow out of this world.
Whatβs Mayday by the way?
Whilst I do enjoy a good drive in the countryside, in the dark trying to get home from work is not really the time. I think the GPS was trying to send me the long way around to avoid some traffic, but driving back country roads you don't know in the dark is not fun.
In good news though I had many packages when I got home, including the lost Bunnings parcel that has been spending the last week touring the state. Miss Meow has some new steps, which arrived with a bit of damage but seem to be holding together ok, and she also has a new mat to go in front of the litter trays to help contain her wild litter flinging ways.
I also have a couple of rugs which look fairly lightweight but should be decent enough for occasional use in the garage, a stand to put the toaster oven on, a rolling stand for my computer cpu, and new rollerblade style castors for my office chair. I just need to figure out how to get the old ones off.
And also a set of coasters I threw in as a last minute impulse buy and actually look pretty decent - each one has a similar but different pattern.
Those coasters look pretty fancy. Almost Lord of the Rings like.

Yeah these guys are definitely rotund now

Does that happen to people too? Asking for a friend...
Asking for Gibson?
Iβve done my own personal research on this, and yes, yes it does
I've peer reviewed your research and am able to reproduce the results.
Yes! Actually! More energy required to stay warm means higher energy intake!
time to upgrade my phone
I am dreading transferring music, the apps seem to always change my import albums or album extras to standard albums and I lose a lot of good music
I haven't read any news in about 4 or so months.
Previously, I was glued every day doomscrolling multiple news sources and subreddits a day.
In a way, it's putting my head in the sand. But to be completely up front, my mental health has benefited significantly.
I'm mostly like that now too and yes, it's healthier.
I did it! Teacher loved my presentation!!! ππ OMG!!! I'm so CLOSE!
ONE question on the LAST QUIZ! AND I'M DONE! AHHHHHHHHHH!
Woop protest on Sydney road, I think heading into the city. Good luck city dwellers π¬
So apparently last night I screamed in my sleep. I didn't know that I did, until I got a call from my dad saying that he couldn't sleep and had to drive into regional Vic at 5am. Maybe it's stress and anxiety, maybe the coffee I had in the morning, but I feel so guilty for waking everyone up when I didn't know what was happening.
yo, just in case you weren't aware that was an arsehole response from your father.
You hear a family member scream in the middle of the night you tend to go kicking in doors and if they sleepin', you disrupt that bad dream stat
I'm tempted to start another account just so I can upvote this a second time.
I had to read the comment a few times before I could understand it, because a father hearing his daughter screaming in the night and not running in straight away to find out what is wrong and providing comfort just didn't make sense to me. Actually berating her for it is just appalling behaviour.
@[email protected] the only question to ask here is WTF is wrong with your father, you have absolutely no reason to feel guilty.
Yep, I agree.
so many hugs, there must be something awful on your mind to have you scream in your sleep .
I'm sorry your family responded as they did.
In my view the fact this is the fifth time means it's even more concerning, not less. Maybe talk to your psych about it.
wooo last few feet of the path beaten into submission. That's over half a metric ton (literally, 600kg) road base compacted by hand. Hopefully sunday's rain is rich and fulsome, I'll see if there's any problems or dishes on the new part, correct, then SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND for my pavers
package, yay, I got a new computer mat
Dog stepped in his shit whilst we were walking. But he's clean now.
Does anyone want to help run the aussie flag on canvas this year (starting July 12th)? I have limted time right now and this year we were going to add aussie pixel art to the flag so it is not just a flag. If anyone could help that would be great, especially with making a post asking for pixel art from the community and adding it over the flag.
To get an image for the flag use which is 200x100 pixels. Ensure that the pixel art does not cover the stars or union jack.
Here is last years template if you want to see it. I will make a new template this year with the pixel art and flag at 200px by 100px.
Bluey pixel art: https://aussie.zone/post/11696592/10403326 and https://diycandy.com/bluey-perler-beads/
To everyone: Feel free to make or find some aussie pixel art and reply, note that it shouldn't be massive tho.
I will probably also post this in tomorrows thread.
