So it just some wallpapers? I feel like that doesn't count as a theme

[-] [email protected] 4 points 6 days ago

the title of this post is misleading. I was hoping for more, but the article also never mentions theme.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago

To be fair, nowhere on the actual page does the GNOME team talks about it being a theme. :)

My brain sees theme and wallpaper interchangeably. Sorry, fixed it.

But i love gnomes ux and ui

I have tried KDE several times, and can't bring myself to like it.

To each their own.

Christ, it's like Linux distros are about choice!

[-] [email protected] 7 points 1 week ago

I know, right? 🙂

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

I'm split, I love kde's features and customization, but GNOME's workflow is amazing. I currently use one on my pc and one on my laptop.

Wherever you stand on the reason for this change, you can't deny that these themes are gorgeous.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Can anyone here post a screenshot?

[-] [email protected] 3 points 6 days ago* (last edited 6 days ago)

it's just 2/4 wallpapers that are linked in the article.

[-] [email protected] 6 points 6 days ago

Dear Homo,

Recently, someone told us you are now profitable. Keep fighting for your rights, and we'll be there, when it's over, to steal credit for any victory.

Sincerely,

Anycorp ^TM^

GNOME is not a corporation. And second, in case you haven't noticed, we're not exactly popular nowadays. GNOME is actually filled with LGBTQ people who are making and running this project.

In the times we're going through right now, this is not just a rainbow capitalism move, this is a statement of actual support. Especially the fact that they are keeping the trans colors in, despite the fact that right now trans people are getting fucked over left and right.

Also, LGBTQ is not just... homos. What?

Lol okay, I thought it was clear that my post was just japes and jabs. Sorry if it legitimately offended.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 6 days ago

It's ok. Sorry if I sounded too aggressive.

[-] [email protected] 51 points 1 week ago

I get your feeling but Gnome is not a corpo, it's an open source project

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 week ago

Yea really it's directed at Any.org also.
