We don't want a warrior culture. That's dumb fashy shit. We want a culture where every time soldiers are sent to war, it's seen as a failure of leadership that it got to this point.

These people wouldn't know what warrior culture is if it came in and punched them in the face. Ancient Greeks hoplites were gay as shit and they were some of the finest warriors in the world.

Renaming a ship is really bad luck, IIRC. And sailors are hilariously superstitious. So if they rename it after some conservative anti-gay asshat (narrator: they will) that the ship is going to be the most despised ship in the fleet.

The thing is, Drinky Pete, we can't go back to live in the 1950s. We already don't live there because of the whole forward-motion thing of time, and so going back isn't going to work.
