The international nuclear watchdog said Iran's stocks of 60% enriched uranium have increased to over 400 kilograms. It also criticized Iran for a "lack of cooperation."

The UN's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said that Iran has increased its production of enriched uranium in recent months, according to a report seen by multiple news agencies on Saturday.

The news comes amid talks between Iran and the US aimed at curtailing Tehran's nuclear program and preventing it from acquiring nuclear weapons.

what’s different about iran having nukes than say the US having them?

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago

That they say "Death to America!" but don't ask why they say it.

i the same way the US did to japan when they actually did war crimes with nukes?

US introduced Iran to nukes when they were forcing them to Westernize with some agreements that they wouldn’t do XYZ with nukes. Then when the revolution went sideways that power went into the hands of the theocratic Muslims. So Muslim nation bad, Catholic nation good.

The US has USED nukes though - no other nation has. as it is, the US has war crimed with nukes far more than any other nation.

Technically it wasn’t a war crime when they did it, right? The world is trying to limit who has nukes so we don’t destroy the human race.

how was it not at the least a crime against humanity during war? was what the nazis did not “technically” a crime at some point? no. it was always a crime.

the point is that the US has used nukes, they didn’t even need to, but chose to to “scare” the watching communists next door.

I agree with you. It was a crime against humanity. I’m saying g legally it was not a crime then. But to your point, US has proven to be reckless. I think a lot of this goes back to WWI. The western world is afraid of Muslim countries becoming the dominant power again.

Good for them, fuck Western hegemony.

[-] [email protected] 5 points 6 days ago
