What are y'all running for mods these days?

I didn't know they didn't affect achievements, so I'm just getting into them now after my first ending (I restarted a lot).

So far I have:

  • some body mods
  • Lizzie's Braindances/Dark Future/Street Vendors to work together for immersion.
  • Also, Night City Alive for immersion, but it doesn't really interact with the ones above.
  • I forgot the name but it replaces River with Rhino, including a mostly-passable AI voice change.

Any other suggestions? I think I could use a combat mod, something that spices things up a bit and adds challenge. I might try Amateur Hackers and AI Netrunners Enhanced, so something that blends well with that would be preem.

I'm all about immersion and trying to make the game feel like I'm part of the world so besides various fixes some of the mods on the list focus on minor (some may say useless) fluff features. I'm also one of the weirdos who prefers the pre 2.0 version of the game in some regards so don't be surprised by some of the choices.

Here's my list (in no particular order):

I also use various clothing, quest and other misc mods but these are the major ones. I haven't browsed for new mods in a year or so, might be a time to change that.

Nice, thank you! I'll definitely be checking some of these out. I'd seen Simple XP Multiplier on an earlier sweep, but didn't actually download it. That combined with Live a Little sounds great for letting you take more time at lower-to-mid levels. I felt like I got overleveled and rushed to endgame pretty fast in my unmodded runs.

Yeah, current balance is pretty whack - great if you want a full-on power fantasy, not so great if you like to struggle (if only a bit). Simple XP Multiplier is an absolute must for me as I prefer to go slooooow with progression (in general not just in Cyberpunk) and mixed with other progression affecting mods can make you feel like you're really struggling to dig yourself out from the depths of NC.

Those three ad mods that add more in-universe ads, new game plus native, custom level cap, immersive bartenders and street vendors, city of dreams loading screens and menu backgrounds

I built it around a realistic damage mod. It makes combat feel more like a firefight and less bashing people with wet noodles

A fuck ton. Mostly cosmetic

The Welcome To Night City collection on NexusMods is a great start point, but it doesn't change up anything big with combat by default.
