I like how you can see these green little icons when you have ferret tufts equipped. also the word dooked, it's really cute.

I wonder if it appears every time the item gives you an extra dodge.

Regardless of that, I think feedback like this could be useful for a lot of items, but I'm not sure which items need it right now.

My first throught was the ring of tenacity to show how much damage is being blocked. Maybe timekeepers hourglass to see how many turns we have left, maybe an hourglass icon. Something like that

Glad to hear you like the new indicator! It's a bit more complex from a coding standpoint, but I would like to extend this functionality to more accuracy/evasion effects in the next update.

Also glad you got the 'dook' reference, hehe. For those who don't know, it's a cute happy noise they can make: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hXvZD6IY8A

Yeah, it looks really good, it's a nice addition to the game. I'm excited to see what you do next with accuracy and evasion

I also have some questions if you don't mind

Does the green ribbon actually appear when the item helps a player or enemy avoid an attack? I've seen it appear a surprising amount of times, I didn't know extra evasion triggered that often.

I've noticed the green ribbon icon from the Ferret Tufts also appears with the "Blocked" message in the combat log. Could you explain what the "Blocked" message means in the context of combat mechanics?

Are there plans to expand this kind of visual feedback (like the Ferret Tufts icon) to other item categories or mechanics beyond accuracy/evasion effects in the future?"

'blocked' and 'dodged' mean the exact same things (and so does 'dooked'), they're just different forms of flavor text on top of "the attack missed".

Assuming there are no coding errors, the ribbon appears in any case where the defense roll is beating the accuracy roll by a small enough proportion that if the tuft buff were reversed the attack would be a hit instead. i.e. the ribbon appears when the tuft is the reason the attack is dodged. Atm the tuft is balanced to, on average, reduce DPS by about 33% at +3, although this can vary a lot.

At the moment the only thing planned is accuracy/evasion. more Icons in general is possible where appropriate though, the ones for damage types worked very well.

I see, I'm looking forward to that. Ferret tufts "dooked" has gotta be my favorite indicator so far.

Thank you so much for the answers, it was very informative.

I believe with the hourglass you get an icon in the top left. That's usually how the game shows effects with time components.

Oh yeah, that is true.

Oh yeah, I do remember that. But buffs are always displayed like that.

I meant like some more decorative icons like the ones above, maybe some flavor text as well

this trinket is broken, i already thought it might have been strong but its way stronger.

Could you expand on that? I think this trinket a trap and not good at all. While it makes you harder to hit, it also makes enemies harder to hit. There is a limiting factor to making guaranteed hits; via wands, spells, etc. If you're able to make those hits the majority of your attacks then in my opinion, this trinket augments your firepower rather than makes an already strong build OP.

The only time I might consider this trinket is if you exploit dropping it when firing your bow and picking it up for melee. Even then, personally, since I play with multiple challenges, I'd rather amass resources with the mimic's tooth, rat skull, shard of oblivion, etc.

not much to say to be honest, i tried 6 chal today with duelist, and i got the ferret tuft as an option and thought let me try it, its just crazy, wands, surprise attacks, and other ways ot damaging/killing is plenty, its ridiculous. with FIMA its especially crazy, augmented armor for evasion aswell. idk maybe im just lucky atm but it really seems borderline game breaking
