its fine to have own opinions, but this idea very clearly goes against the basics of a roguelike. your example for slay the spire literally helped show this point: you start the run and slowly make your deck, then at some point, you need to do something that either rewards or punishes you, but your own deck and decisions leading up to that point have nothing to do with it? makes little sense.

again, im not saying it cant be a nice addition persay, but it will need a lot of thought behind it. youre the dev afterall :)

is there anyway i can get the clean full res hd version of the characters and dungeon art? i only found this on Artstation, but the artist deleted it.

actually, from a roguelike perspective, its very out of place, the entire point of a traditional roguelike is that you go from start to finish with what you have, this brings in a bunch of things like gameplanning, if you add something like that where your resources have no role, thats just a very weird, and out of place moment in the game that doesnt reward the things i just mentioned, a minigame of some sorts of that kind isnt inherently bad, just doesnt fit in ShPD (or any kind of roguelike/lite, neither Slay The Spire).

the ascension changes actually gave ascension some meaning which was great, but it could still be improved and spiced up more. one thing i saw in another game was that during ascension, you forget the layout of the floors, this would be a nice change IMO.
