Try tracking down ownership of the property a bank sits on.

It's wild. They'll buy it under an LLC they dissolve, and the ownership transfers to an heir LLC in another state that's also dissolved, rinse and repeat for 40 steps.

When I ask for a bank building to show proof of ownership in a development application, they usually just cancel the project because it'll take 8 months and 150 grand in lawyers' fees just to prove they own their own fucking building, and a new ATM lane just isn't worth it.

Huh, today I learned. Mucho respect to you, not the banks.

Hiding true ownership.

Fun fact, when hunting down the history of a major bank, I was able to trace its origins to a rural Baptist church in the 50s.

It's always money. At a guess I'd say it's cheaper to create a company and buy/sell that (including the assets it owns such as property) then dissolve the company rather than just buying/selling the property. Scale that up to a big company that has to deal with lots of different laws and you're left with this nonsense.

It sounds like a tax dodge. New LLC in charge until just before the end of the tax year then it's wound down and the property moves to another

I have a morbid curiosity for USA/California property law, but is this the sort of thing that a quiet title action might be able to clarify? Or would that open an invitation for multiple, competing claims to come out of the woodwork? Insofar as real property, surely somebody has been paying the property tax?

I can't go into detail, but I work in a municipal jurisdiction with unique circumstances. It's a bit of an enclave for the super-wealthy and sir to media/security concerns, I have to be a huge PITA about paperwork establishing who can access and work on properties.

There are fairly unassuming properties in town that will get you tackled or shot if you don't follow the proper procedures.

Genius.com saved me from so many forgotten songs where you only know the line that kicks.

I have a related problem where I have a song downloaded, labeled as C33D - Daydreamer, but legit can't find it anywhere on the internet. All I remember is that it's about 2015 or so old, downloaded through soundcloud. It's either completely removed or not actually named that.

(The only post is my own post I made on reddit, back in like 2021, which reminds me I gotta delete that acc)

Edit: https://limewire.com/d/hGl1m#YPtfsAquFn

If anyone even wants to try finding it lol

There's like no metadata attached so other than this title I really have nothing going for it

holyshit, limewire still exists?

let me see if i can find anything, i like tracking down music like this.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Good luck, the only lead I have is there is someone named c33d on soundcloud, but it most likely is not the same person LOL

[-] [email protected] 2 points 1 month ago

I got this from Gemini for C33D

"C33D" likely refers to a model of a 3-piece ball valve, specifically from VTB Valves. It's also a username on SoundCloud.

Looks like it was from him, but you probably know this already.

Yea the c33d on soundcloud is not the same one afaik. The track I have is edm (electro/complextro) and the c33d on soundcloud doesn't make edm last I checked

So I'm basically stumped

Edit: i guess there is a remix of swedish house mafia but no original song there

In the aughts i had something similar with a Mexican electro act, they were called Shemale.

Try finding this online, it was so hard to get anything from them.

They were more active in the late 90s.

I managed to find a few albums over the years, but long after they had quit.

All I can think of is a song that also contains "but mammals"

[-] [email protected] 8 points 1 month ago

Yeah, you solved it.

On the Discovery Channel?

TFW all I can remember is an instrumental section and no way my tonedeaf ass is going to be able to reproduce what’s in my head

During Covid, I spent multiple days on and off trying to figure out my earworm was Adam Green's Jessica. My useless mind had completely replaced Jessica Simpson's name in the chorus with the name of someone who at the time was famous for having a Telegram channel. Attila, Attila Hildmann

Is "k-k-k-kitty kitty" one word or two?
