Mega Man X was my choice too. It just showed everyone that the 16-bit era is here and it is great. Everything felt like a vast improvement out of anything from the 8-bit era and was a nice refresher for the series at the time because the original Mega Man classic series, was starting to stale by MM5 and MM6.
