this was literally in a french pop science magazine called Science & Vie Junior back in 2008-ish? They literally talked about it back then, and since then it went nowhere BECAUSE ITS FUCKING STUPID!

The best part of these renderings is that the public transit solution has not even fixed traffic

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

In a world where this gets built, it’s not even public transportation. It would be an overpriced country club form of transportation for the wealthy to get around faster than the plebs.

What do you mean? Traffic is flowing well in that image

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Maybe in the first 10% of the video, but from about 10% on to 75% when they stop showing cars the traffic is either stopped, or so bumper to bumper that without their unreasonably well-flowing rendering of a traffic circle and street it would be gridlock due to volume.

Nobody is gonna mention the accident in progress being made demonstrably worse in the image?

You mean that car that appears to have already been sawn completely in half at high speed?

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Yeah, the one that if this were a video simply wouldn't be a car anymore one frame later.

I mean, I've now just checked, and it is a video. It really was an accident in progress. Now I'm just confused.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Oh shit, I only saw a single still frame!

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago

It moves it's legs up to avoid traffic but if you crash your car due to driving like a moron it straight up rams you? Gotta tell you, folks, I'm sold

I love the useless exterior airbags. I don't recall that from the last two times this went viral.

[–] [email protected] 12 points 1 year ago

Fuck it. Passenger Ekranoplan.

This isn't a giant quad copter. Dahir insaat really fell off in quality.

I enjoy the fact that there is a driver at the helm of this whoopie cushion of a transit system. I wonder what’s going on in his mind
