It ain't right.
But i also don't get why people are still buying Jeeps? Most cursory search while doing research for a new vehicle should bring up red flags quick.

It’s a kink thing you wouldn’t understand
So... masochism?
No, that's an engine knock
They wave to each other! Owners of Jeeps wave to each other, as if you say, "look we're both suckers together." Look up Jeep owners waving.
They give each other ducks....
You're making the mistake of viewing a car as a reliable means of transport and not a way to show off how cool and rugged you are.
I would never buy a jeep anyways, but thanks for the warning,
I'm not buying Jeeps... But harder now.
Just Stellantis doing Stellantis things.

Somewhat related to how bad it is at that company right now:
Yesterday my brother and I drove by a brand new Jeep Wrangler (had a new car plate) that looked like a 24 or 25 that was burnt to the ground from the engine (my guess as the burning was much worse there than the cabin.) Emergency services were there still putting water on the engine bay but the ambulances were already gone. Hopefully everyone is okay.
It's a trend with jeeps. I already know 2 people that have had the burnt Jeep phenomenon
Damn, that sucks. Hope they're all okay!
Nobody was in the vehicle at the time on both occasions.
That's great news! Thank you.
Did it happen during the test drive before buying?
I guarantee that dealerships will disable that shit until it goes home, and then somehow it won't qualify under the lemon law.
