I normally pace around pretty much everywhere, it's pretty much because I have adhd. And I apparently made a mistake of doing it in a plaza.

I was pacing in a plaza while two relatives was shopping. And out of the blue some guy came out of the plasma donation center and yelling at me. Most of what he was saying was unintelligible and the only things I could pick up was "..walking around like a idiot" and "I'm going to blow your head off". Man fuck this city.

On Xiaohongshu, I've seen the comment a few times in response to your comment. "An egg broken from the outside becomes a meal, an egg broken from the inside brings new life."

Its really fucked that ND people stimming in public is not cool but when a NT person is feeling stressed its fine for them to get angry and threaten random people. I got beat up once in high school for pacing and I'm the one who got in trouble for it.

I don't want to be a doomer but the problem is pretty wide spread so don't put much hope in the dream of moving out of your city. Here in australia the latent rage in society is so bad that they have public service announcement ads on tv to remind people that screaming at customer service workers is not acceptable, and don't get me started on the road rage.

Try to take it as a good sign. Irritability and rage amongst the working class is evidence that the foundations of the capitalist system are crumbling under the weight of the super structure. The more random acts of rage you are subjected to the closer the revolution is. I just hope more people start to follow the example of Luigi so that you can pace without fear.

My desire of moving out of my city is more about my family

Oh wow, that is awful. That reminds me of a time when I was having a walk through my neighborhood and I touched the rusty top of somebody’s mailbox out of boredom. As I was walking away, I heard somebody yelling at me and telling me to get back there. He asked me if I took something, then he looked inside of his mailbox, asked me if I understood that that was a felony, and yelled at me to never do that again. When I angrily arrived home, I yelled the hardest that I ever had in my entire life in front of everybody.

Reminds me of the time I parked my car on the street and overlapped the entrance to a driveway by about 3cm. The homeowner came out and yelled at me for blocking his driveway.

Another time someone yelled at me for parking 90° offset to how people usually park on a specific area. Given that it was guest parking only I ever used, I didn't see the issue, but I was shaking with fear and anxiety when that encounter was over.

If he's donating plasma, chances are he can't even afford a gun.

Do people not donate blood/plasma in, I assume, USA for reasons other than money?

[-] [email protected] 11 points 5 months ago* (last edited 5 months ago)

It's typically for financial reasons unfortunately. Obviously there are some people who donate out of the goodness of their heart, but they're the exception to the rule.

There's also the fact that they're donating plasma instead of blood. Youre not allowed to donate blood if you have any drugs in your system, but you can with plasma. They were also acting irrationally aggressive towards OP. These things tell me that they probably struggle alot with mental health issues and drug addiction, and donating plasma is one of the few ways people can get some form of income under those circumstances.
