People reading and trying to understand why the US suddenly turned on and invaded their close ally of Canada in a failed annexation attempt immediately after watching Russia struggle a similar (though less surprising) annexation of Ukraine, which the US helped fight against.

They may have their challenges right now, but there are some things they aren't willing to give up, like nationalized health care and national identity.
