US interests have a LOT of money tied up in domestic AI, anyone watching the stonk market knows. Investors stand to lose a fuck ton of money if deepseek gains more momentum, just look at nvda’s single day loss recently.
The government is putting its finger on the fucking scale. Even more blatantly so with Cheeto running the shit show. Expect more manipulation, if nothing else.
What... what is the use case for this service in this situation (besides charging the federal government 40$ for each query to the AI service)?
