Usually when a corporation has to say it ... it usually means the opposite of what they just announced.
Technology
A nice place to discuss rumors, happenings, innovations, and challenges in the technology sphere. We also welcome discussions on the intersections of technology and society. If it’s technological news or discussion of technology, it probably belongs here.

Ah sweet, so it's only 99% fucked! Now I can go back to sharing misleading news stories in peace.
Glad i left Facebook 10 years ago or so.
Do you know how to tell if someone isn't on Facebook?
Some friends were freaking out about following JD Vance on Instagram. Then they realized they had followed @vp when it was Kamala's handle.
Am I missing something? This explanation actually seems reasonable. I swear I saw a couple people last election complain they were suddenly following Biden, because they were following the POTUS account.
I'm not trying to defend the fash propaganda that is Facebook, but also its users can be pretty dense.
"Facebook says it's not forcing you to use Facebook"
Right... along with "X does not force you to follow Musk".
Took me blocking 100+ accounts that kept reposting Musk, but "technically" it worked in the end. We'll see if it lasts.
