You’d have to put Never Gonna Give You Up on it, because otherwise humanity would forfeit the chance to rickroll extraterrestrial civilisations at first contact

Perfect, of course.

Yes but, having been but a girl when this track first came out & super snooty about it, by the second time I was Rickrolled I realised it is pure class.

That & it turns out Astley himself is an utter gem.

Bring the tune to the hapless future & long live Rick!

We propably could fit linux source code

You'd also need to also include our computer architecture, as well as a C compiler, together with its source code.

And then how to reliably store it for hundreds of thousands of years.

Though, we would probably be able to fit it, and a ton of other code, considering our data storage capabilities. The big question would just be the reliability, and redundancy for error correction.

If there are any extraterrestrials reading this right now, OP doesn't accurately represent the human race on this matter.

I see your "Another Life" and raise you a vaguely contextually appropriate "Another World"

I would love it, despite the fact it'll never be put on, to just have the RyoneYami UTAU cover of Pushing Daisies (originally done by Kenji-B/nostraightanswer) on a modern version.

That, or just a clip from RTGames playing Stardew Valley and laughing at someone in chat saying "fill the festival with mustard gas" and him having to say that's not a healthy reaction to not having a dance partner.

The recording from the Farscape intro.

The Beatles are timeless you uncultured walnut.

In a generation, there’ll be similarly myopic people saying the same thing about, say, Pearl Jam or Justin Timberlake or someone. And from a subjective point of view, they’ll be equally right.

They used to say similar things about Elvis Presley. Then those to whom he meant a lot died off and his timeless significance mysteriously faded away. Those who paid a fortune for rare Elvis 7”s can’t sell them.

Elvis Presley is timeless too. Same with Pearl Jam. Just because it's old music doesn't make it irrelevant, just because it's irrelevant to you doesn't mean it's irrelevant to everyone else.

That's not a proper answer.
