I finished refactoring the script today.

It leverages fzf as a local video selection frontend for mpv. Additionally the script uses ffprobe and the kitty protocol to grab and display preview information and thumbnail.

The script also has an alternative mode, that instead lists local playlists for quick access.

A question for those that may be hearing impaired, or otherwise use TV and movie subtitles frequently...

Do you have a favorite subtitle font? Do you have any further config preferences, like color or border?

I'm working on making a video player script UI more accessible, and I'd love some input.

A recent greentext post about an imaginary wife made me think of this.

Have you ever had a dream, where you fell in love with a dream character?

I've had at least a couple over the years that I can vaguely remember. The dreams were so vivid, and the feeling of love for this imaginary person was so strong, that I woke up feeling rather heartbroken and a sense of longing.

Every boomer with a bird feeder hates squirrels. I don't understand.

It tries so hard to be deep and shocking, but it completely falls flat. And Gainsbourg's acting is awful in all of them.

I got two T-Echo devices in the mail yesterday, and I've been configuring and playing with them nonstop.

I did notice some other nodes will pop up that have question marks (????) as their name, but they still can send messages. What typically causes a device to appear as unknown?

I keep hearing about him, it seems like he's involved with a lot of newer games?

This is the first release of the community port of Descent 3, released as open source software under the GPLv3 license on April 16th 2024.

I went down a reading rabbit hole with the recent Meshtastic posts, and decided to pick up 2 LILYGO T-Echo units to fuss around with. One for home base and one will go in my car kit, and out on the trails.

Very excited for them to arrive!

I want one so badly. I never see any for sale, not even in pieces.
