This can't be true, because Dizzy's new theme came out like a month ago.
Dua Lipa, TDJ, Viagra Boys, Chat Pile
lol 2024 has been one of the best years for music since the pandemic. Idk what you’re on tho
I bet you haven't even listened to the new lil xan album huh?
Shoot cum piss blood shit puke? That's a GWAR show
Etran de L'Aïr
listen to imaginal disk by magdalena bay then come back
It's a completely ridiculous idea to think that worsening material conditions won't lead to worse art, or that the logic of the market (especially in our age of algorithms and market research ) prioritizing profit over everything else won't harm art either.
Music is undeniably getting worse.
This is a perfect thread to ask recommendations. Particularly death/thrash metal or old school type beat hip hop. Y'all got any?
Anaal nathraak are rated. More of fire than blood is a baaaannngggeeerrrrr.
Slugdge is a proggy tech death band with amazing riffs and solid songwriting. Esoteric malocology is their most recent release and their best and they are supposedly coming out with a new album next year.
If you want to listen to death metal that sounds like a space demon lord burping out acid, Demilich is pretty fucking sick and unique and unfortunately only had one album in the 90s that sounds way ahead of its time.
Thrash metal? "Infest the Rat's Nest" by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Dont wanna spoil it but its a space opera about climate change and killing billionares and shit.
Omnium Gatherum album by King Gizzard has a few old school hip hop type beats.
On the death/thrash front, have you stumbled across Crypta and/or Nervosa yet? Same label, and a couple of the same members; Crypta is an 80's/90's death metal throwback with more modern production techniques, and Nervosa is more thrash-oriented.
Nervosa i know of crypta not so much. Logged
