US Export Administration Act prohibits...

You mean the act which Congress has tried to ditch since the 80s that the President has to keep invoking emergency powers to keep it in place, and that in 2018 Congress finally tried passing a bill to formally repeal it but its now caught in technicality over said emergency president powers that keep the act in place

That act?

the ditch do great reporting, pity it seems that no journalism can ever damage these ghouls reputations by much and most people care more about palace intrigue anyway. for a double whammy: https://www.ontheditch.com/donohoe-had-secret-call/

no coup (to my knowledge lol), we have just been ruled by compradors to empire since the free state became "independent" 100 years ago. the war of independence was the counterrevolution basically. first the brits, now mostly we are vassal to the yanks. portion of the country still under british occupation and rule.

If you remove the English army tomorrow and hoist the green flag over Dublin Castle, unless you set about the organisation of the Socialist Republic your efforts would be in vain. England would still rule you. She would rule you through her capitalists, landlords and financiers.

Still rings true, just replace English with the Americans

for sure. he was 100 years ahead of his time, so much in common with Lenin. the Brits still get their share though, obviously in the north very overtly but I live in the free state and I pay my rent to a British company lol

And what would be those consequences to Ireland, one of the few countries in Europe with its actual shit together? I don't doubt the US is shortsighted enough to do something, I just would like to see the 'consequences' of them doing it.

I mean Ireland's entire economy is based around letting US companies avoid taxes in the EU, so there's quite a bit the United States could do to fuck that up.

So what would the US do to another Anglo country? Make those tax incentives meaningless by making it prohibitive for companies to operate there?
