Normals weren't really following his shenanigans back in 2022 were they? Like if you weren't all that online, you'd just see mostly puff pieces about him

Most people in my life looked at me a little crazy until the last few years, most would agree Musk probably sucked because of the apartheid SA emerald fortune (mine itself was in Zambia or something) but they still thought he was smart/genius or that his products were stand-out. I was only aware because I looked into the Hyperloop stuff in 2013, being big into trains myself. That convinced me he was some kind of idiot. Later I realized he was probably just kicking up dust around public transit to maybe distract from CA HSR and seeking more grants and subsidies.

After that I started tracking the perpetual vaporware Roadster. Since 2019 I've only kept tabs through the thunderfoot videos debunking Musk. That guy's anti-creationist videos were the first things I watched on YouTube other than south park and anime, ditched him over the feminism freakout but I can throw his Musk hate vids on in mpv. No view count, no foul.

These dorks aren’t very in tune with anything they consume. The first they heard of Musk being a shitheel was probably in the past few weeks he’s been doing his X jump on the stage with Trump.

The average consumer boycotts chik-fil-a, but can’t live without Amazon.

I have a friend whose husband is a super lib, like he dragged her to the March for Science because he felt it was very important and also thought Musk was just super neat. They bought a bunch of Tesla stock and I didn't feel bad laughing when the price crashed the last time he sold billions in shares because they'll be fine.

They wanted to feel like smart cool progressive science enjoyers until King Bazinga harshed their vibe. LIB

I honestly feel like used Tesla prices are depressed as a result of Elon's public persona right now, and will probably be boosted if he ever gets the boot from the company.

buying a used tesla, rabadging it as a Hyundai IONIQ, and flipping it for profit

How many people would be able to tell? 90% of sedans look exactly the same to me.
