So, who are you supporting for the Grand Final?

I can't make my mind up.

I don't want Penrith to win again. I hate dynasties, and I think it's better for the game when teams rise and fall. It's one of the benefits of a salary cap.

But I don't like Melbourne, because of their historical rorting of the salary cap, ruining multiple seasons of the NRL. And the whole introduction of wrestling manoeuvres into footy. A lot of their game seems to be based on cheating or exploiting weaknesses in rukes rather than playing in the spirit of the game.

Or do I just barrack for the referee, touchies and video reviewers?

I hate both teams. I'll probably be going for Melbourne, but mainly I'm just hoping for a good game.

Yeah, I hope so too.

I'm expecting at least the first 20 minutes to be 5 tackle 1 out hitups, and a kick πŸ˜†

You need to figure out who the ref put their mortgage on…

I'm with you on not really wanting to support either. I'd like to see someone else take the title -

I am a huge Storm fan sooooo...

Also the Broncos introduced wrestling into NRL not Storm. Storm just took it further and rules were brought in, then Storm adhered to them the same as any other team.

I'd challenge you to look at the Storm in the last.. let's say 5 years.. and say that Storm 'cheat'. Every single team tries to push the limits to get an advantage within the rules. It sounds as if your opinions on us are outdated.

to get an advantage within the rules

Which reminds me of Billy Slater diving feet first trying to kick the ball out of players hands when they attempted to score. Only him. That's right, that was within the law, and they had to change the rules. Just for him.

But in the last 5 years, especially this year I've noticed fake HIAs to manipulate substitutions, rest players, and have them available at different stages of the game. It's perfect because nobody will dare say a head knock didn't happen because of the risk.

There's an independent doctor that also has a say in the HIA's but I agree it seems players get rested for parts with the HIA tactic

I've also noticed that it hasn't been as obvious for a little while.

Saving it for the Grand Final? Let's see. Though probably not so important without Nelson playing....

Wouldn't put it past Penrith either. It's funny that their footy has become more robotic and less fun to watch. Almost like they've turned into the Storm 🀣

Always fun when it's your favourite robots though 😜

No doubt!

Good luck to both teams.

I'll end up going for the team that chucks the footy about and avoids the 5 hitups and kick.

Anyone going against a Sydney team gets my support.
