Image is of a Hezbollah missile attack on a military camp west of Jenin.

The situation between Hezbollah and Israel is rapidly escalating, with massive bombing campaigns on southern Lebanon by Israel predominantly on civilians (as the tunnels in South Lebanon are mostly unreachable to the Zionists, just like in Gaza), while Hezbollah and its allies respond with missile attacks predominantly on Israeli military facilities. Israel is spreading an evacuation order to the residents of southern Lebanese villages while also bombing their routes of escape and civilian infrastructure, similar to a terror tactic used widely in Gaza.

Northern Israel is currently under military censorship to hide their losses, so we get very little information other than what the Resistance provides and what videos and images get through the censors.

I don't know if Israel will dare a ground incursion soon, but it seems fairly likely in the coming days or weeks.

Foreign Ministers of Cuba, Bolivia and Nicaragua Dennounce the Interference of U.S in the Region - Telesur English

Article

During their interventions, the three countries also reiterated the end of coercive and unilateral measures by the United States Government against Latin American nations.

The foreign ministers of Cuba, Bolivia and Nicaragua denounced on Thursday the foreign interference of the United States in the internal affairs of other countries, Position taken during the 24th Meeting of the Political Council of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America – Treaty on Trade of the Peoples (ALBA – TCP).

Cuban Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez said that “the regional oligarchies are resorting to policies apparently banished as coups d’état with the connivance of the US government”.

In that regard, he referred to the coup against Bolivia in 2019 and the latest attempt. He also mentioned the allegations made in this regard by the Governments of Honduras and Colombia.

Rodríguez denounced: “Today we see with concern how one of the founding countries of this alliance is attacked with marked belligerence. Venezuela is once again facing the economic, political and media arsenal of imperialism and right-wing extremism aimed at dynamising its sovereign process of economic, social and cultural development”.

“Our brothers in Nicaragua are equally the target of unjust unilateral measures and fierce interference campaigns by the US government,” he added.

He also mentioned that Cuba is suffering the most brutal, prolonged and intense aggression against its economy and its people, and that the United States Government keeps it on the arbitrary and unilateral list of states which allegedly sponsor terrorism.

Rodríguez also denounced the genocide against the Palestinian people. “We demand a wide, Just and lasting settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict on the basis of the establishment of two states, enabling the Palestinian people to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign state within the pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital and with the guarantee of return of refugees”.

“Our country supports the General Assembly of the United Nations to take decisive and immediate action and decide once and for all the full membership of the State of Palestine in the UN».

Valdrack Jaentschke: “The worthy, free and sovereign peoples of the world are facing old and new forms of aggression”.

Nicaragua’s Foreign Minister, Valdrack Jaentschke, said that the Venezuelan people continues along with President Nicolás Maduro “to face all the aggressions and destabilizations of the imperialists victoriously”.

Jaentschke stated: “Humanity is in critical moments, moments of birth of a new history, of the emergence of a new world order more just, more collective, more solidary and as all birth the emergence of this new world order, multipolar, without hegemonies that are imposed is hard, is difficult, it’s painful”.

He stressed that the world’s worthy, free and sovereign peoples face old and new forms of aggression. “The rifles and gunboats of the past, today reborn in new forms of aggression euphemistically called sanctions, are the same military interventions and the same interferences perpetrated by the Yankee empire in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries”. He also expressed his solidarity with Venezuela and Cuba.

Celinda Sosa: “We must continue on the path of peace”

The Bolivian Foreign Minister, Celinda Sosa, stressed that people face serious challenges in the face of the multiple crises that the world is experiencing today.

Sosa confirmed that the hegemonic powers and imperialism threaten our unity. “We must continue along this path our commitment to the defence of sovereignty and non-intervention in our internal affairs”.

Also condemned the blockade imposed on Cuba by the White House and demanded that it be lifted immediately and likewise excluded from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, “an unfair measure affecting its economy and preventing the full development of Cubans”.

Sosa also demanded an immediate cessation of the coercive measures imposed on Nicaragua and Venezuela, and of the Israeli genocide against the people of Palestine.

Death to israel

[–] [email protected] 47 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Hello, comrades. Like many of you, i do not live in SWANA and am saddened by the death of Hassan Nasrallah. i do not have any primary sources to add, but i do think there is at least one early operational lesson to be drawn from the facts we do have.

We know that a block of Beirut was destroyed by a number of missiles and bunker busters. Several hundreds if not over a thousand innocent people were killed and injured. But what is a bunker buster? In short, it is a bomb with a very thick shell (and so they are often very heavy relative to the payload size) and a remote delay or altitude based fuse. The ideal is that it smacks into the ground, keeps going forward for a certain depth or time, and then it goes off. And what kind of bombs are the USA and its lapdog using in their depraved spiral of carnage?

First, the GBU-28. Designed and produced first in 1991, there is actual technical information available. I have a deeply biased source, which gets a little too cutesy with the story of USamerican ingenuity. The relevant information here is “penetrated 22 ft of reinforced concrete and then kept flying for half a mile [of air]”. This bomb has a warhead containing roughly 675 kilograms of explosives. It’s also worth thinking about the fact that this bunker buster was designed with Iran, Iraq, Libya, and the DPRK explicitly in mind.

Next, consider Al-Jazeera reports of 5000 pound bombs and also this article from three years ago. The GBU-72, released in 2022, was designed with advice from IDF experiences with the 28. This is a JDAM conversion, which is the US military term for how the Russians are slapping basic guidance kits and two wings on surplus ordinance to create modern precision weapons on the cheap. So it has a larger warhead (though we don’t know how much) and it’s more accurate. Accuracy should mean hitting the street or ground in order to not waste the penetrating power, but who knows with the zionist entity. It’s worth noting that these are technically laser guided munitions. But how do you think the West determines where to put the laser if not via satellite imagery? And if they are figuring out a location from satellite imagery, what would they use if not GPS, which was put into space for this purpose?

Now we can talk all day about tunnel design and where we should be meeting with important diplomats. But the big point here is that JDAM, and all other dumb bombs with smart targeting, are wholly reliant on GPS. there are no USamerican bunker busters (that i can find info on) that do not use GPS. i, with all my authority as an armchair analyst, think that the Axis of Resistance needs to start working on spoofing and hardening devices against GPS (i am certain they already have). Spoofing refers to setting up a transmitter to feed a false stream of data into the environment, which makes it an obvious target but also creates a sort of bubble protection. Hardening can mean several things, but in this case i mean double checking communication devices for tracking bands (many chips can be built to only transmit at certain frequencies), reducing all GPS interaction in the area, and literally covering the walls of certain areas with aluminum foil if it comes down to it. i say reduce because i don’t know if you can stop all civilians in the area from using map software. If anyone wants to scream from the rooftops about Iran, don’t say you want them to launch anything. Iran needs to deploy every piece of electronic warfare it has, at home and in Lebanon, and then it needs to put in an order for twice as many more from China and Russia.

I've spent a lot of time touching grass over the past month, but I'm back at my desk now. I noticed something in the actual Moody's downgrade article that was glaringly left out of Western media coverage:

Furthermore, the backed foreign-currency senior unsecured rating was affirmed at Aaa. The instruments benefit from an irrevocable, on-demand guarantee on principal and interest payments provided by the government of the United States of America (Aaa negative), with the government acting through U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Notes benefit explicitly from "the full faith and credit of the US" and as per prospectus, USAID is obligated to pay within three business days if the guarantee is called upon.

https://ratings.moodys.com/ratings-news/429502

The US, through USAID, has fully guaranteed some amount of what I assume are dollar-denominated debt offerings from Israel, and (at least in theory) is fully and immediately responsible for paying the principal and interest in full on these instruments, should Israel default on them. How many countries do y'all think we do this for? I'm going to guess not many.

I don't know about you but resistance operations didn't slow a bit since Nasrallah's death, i think they'll be fine.

Is Lebanon actually using its full military capabilities against Israel? Ik it has been trying to avoid war for economic reasons but Israeli attacks isn't helping the economy either.

It's incredible that the axis of resistance doesn't even attempt mass casualty events like the ones Israel does on a weekly basis.

In the Danish city of Odense, the mayor is malding that he can't ban ships from legally and peacefully docking in the local harbour:

"Deeply frustrating": Odense mayor wants Russian ships out of the harbor

Russian ships should not be allowed to dock at Odense Harbor and receive services.

This is the message in an email from Odense's mayor, Peter Rahbæk Juel, from the Social Democrats, to the Minister of Transport, Thomas Danielsen, from the Liberal Party.

The call comes in response to reports on how ships with Russian connections are creatively bypassing current sanctions, for example, by transporting natural gas to Russia.

"The ships are being serviced by companies located at the harbor. They’ve done so completely legally - and without Odense Harbor being able to refuse them, which is deeply frustrating," writes the mayor in the email.

Odense Harbor is obligated to accept ships as long as they do not break any laws or sanctions - and officially, they are not, according to the mayor.

~~Hezbollah sources say Nasrallah safe following Israeli airstrikes~~

sadness

ArticleHezbollah security sources have informed Press TV that Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, leader of the resistance movement, is in a secure location and has not been harmed by the recent Israeli airstrikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

This statement follows rumors circulating on social media suggesting that Nasrallah was targeted during the Israeli regime's large aerial assault on the Dahiya neighborhood of southern Beirut on Friday.

Reports also said Sayyed Hashem Safieddine, head of Hezbollah’s Executive Council was safe, with Iran’s Tasnim news agency citing informed sources in Lebanon as saying that no Hezbollah commander was martyred in the Israeli terrorist attacks.

Six buildings were razed to the ground as a result of the Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut.

Lebanon’s Health Ministry says at least two people have been martyred and 76 others injured in the attack.

The Israeli army radio said that F-35 aircraft carried out the aggression using bunker-buster bombs.

Israeli media reports said the regime had informed the United States of the attack shortly before it was carried out.

Lebanese media said civil defense personnel were working to extinguish the fire that broke out in the area and evacuate the injured.

Lebanese caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati reacted to the attack, saying the international community must deter the Israeli enemy and stop its tyranny and the war of extermination it is waging against Lebanon.

Mikati said the Israeli attack shows the regime’s lack of interest in international calls for a ceasefire.

Renewed Israeli airstrikes target new parts of southern Beirut suburbs

ArticleIn a series of escalations, Israeli occupation forces have launched renewed attacks on the southern suburb of Beirut. Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported multiple airstrikes targeting residential buildings in the al-Hadath and al-Lailaki areas, causing significant destruction.

At approximately 1 a.m. Israeli occupation warplanes executed a series of raids, specifically targeting residential buildings in al-Laylaki, al-Kafaat, Choueifat, Burj al-Barajneh, and al-Hadath.

This comes after the Israeli occupation military carried out, Friday, several airstrikes that hit residential neighborhoods in the Haret Hreik area in the Southern Suburbs of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation's spokesperson had made an announcement that further airstrikes would target Beirut's suburbs and has condemned residents to forced displacement. Additionally, the targeted region continues to house thousands of Lebanese people as these attacks have remained unprecedented since 2006 when "Israel" invoked the Dahiye Doctrine.

The occupation forces' statement claimed that Hezbollah was hiding weapons amongst civilian homes, but the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon released a statement denying any such claims. Hezbollah's media office issued a statement noting it "denied the Israeli occupation's false claims about the presence of weapons or weapons stores in the civilian buildings it targeted in the southern suburbs of Beirut at dawn on Saturday."

Moreover, Al Mayadeen's correspondent confirmed that there was no military activity in the areas targeted by the occupation, stressing that all the targets hit by the bombing were civilian and included residential buildings, in addition to the Ghandour factory for food industries.

In parallel, sirens have also sounded in the occupied city of Safad and its surrounding areas.

Iraqi Resistance conducts multiple operations against 'Israel'

ArticleIn a fourth operation against "Israel," the Islamic Resistance in Iraq announces attacking, with drones, a vital target in the occupied Golan Heights.

In the third operation, drones of the Islamic Resistance in Iraq attacked a vital target located in the north of occupied Palestine.

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced a second operation against the Israeli occupation, this time against a military target located north of occupied Palestine.

In their first operation, the Resistance announced launching drones toward a vital target in the southern part of the occupied Palestinian territories.

In their statement, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq "confirms its continuation in striking the enemy's strongholds with increasing intensity."

It is important to note that the operations come in defense of Lebanon and Palestine as the Israeli genocidal war continues.

Iraqi Resistance conducts three operations against Israeli occupation yesterday

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq announced on Friday that it successfully struck a vital Israeli target in occupied Palestine using an advanced Al-Arqab cruise missile, as well as a military target in the occupied Syrian Golan using drones.

This brought the number of operations carried out by the Resistance, on that day, to a total of three. Only a few hours earlier, the Iraqi Resistance drone struck a target in the occupied Syrian Golan.

In a statement, the Iraqi Resistance affirmed that the operation came as part of its continued support of the people of Palestine and Lebanon, as well as "in response to the massacres committed by the aggressive entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly."

The Islamic Resistance reiterated its commitment to "striking the enemy's strongholds with increasing intensity."

Macron: “there cannot and must not be a war in Lebanon”. - Telesur Spanish

Article (Translated)

“We have to build a fairer and more effective international order,” said French President Emmanuel Macron in his address to the United Nations General Assembly.

He called for a cessation of hostilities, while equating the Israeli aggressions that left hundreds dead, including children and women, with the attacks against military targets by the Lebanese resistance.

French President Emmanuel Macron used his address to the United Nations General Assembly on Wednesday to urge Israel and the Lebanese group Hezbollah to stop hostilities on the border between the two countries.

The president made no mention of the multiple indiscriminate killings from air strikes, although he did “firmly” call on Israel to stop the escalation in Lebanon.

At the same time, he stressed the importance of respecting the “blue line”, the border line drawn by the UN between Israel and Lebanon, at a time when the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) chiefs told the local press that they are prepared to carry out a land invasion in southern Lebanon.

In this regard, Macron warned that an extension of military operations on Lebanese territory would have serious consequences. “There cannot and must not be a war in Lebanon,” the president affirmed, stressing that the situation in Gaza has already generated too many civilian casualties.

“The war in Gaza has gone on too long, and there is no justification for the tens of thousands of Palestinian civilian casualties,” he stressed.

The president also called for a new phase in Gaza, focused on the cessation of hostilities, the return of humanitarian aid and the protection of the civilian population. However, France's condemnation of the Israeli regime has, for the time being, been no more than declarative.

Nevertheless, Macron noted that his country is ready to participate in any initiative that can save lives and ensure the safety of those involved.

On the other hand, Macron advocated a reform in the UN Security Council, seeking to limit the use of the veto in cases of mass crimes.
