Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:

The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

I always have both an appreciation and judge people who do things like this.

I appreciate it because it's neat that people are willing to go the distance for the fun of it. People who limit themselves to specific tech or libraries. People who code for old tech like those who make brand new "retro" games, or code for Pico-8.

Then the judgement comes in. Just... Jackie chan why.

I still appreciate the dedication!

I mean they could have just used a mouse and keyboard with it, then it's just a modest pc

I assume they did, the article doesn't mention that they didn't use peripherals. No way they did it all on the tiny screen with touch keyboard

The guy's laptop broke shortly after he got his deck, so it was more an act of desperation than a willing choice.
