Saw it in the botanic gardens at Williamstown and thought it looked nice.

Would like to know the name of it.

Can anyone help?

Sempervivum tectorum, we call it Chicks and Hens.

I reckon that's more of an aeonium, not a sempervirens spp. Not all aeonia are purple - there's a whole lot with nice different coloured edges like this one. The flowers are very like an aeonium. I've never seen a sempervirens flower so I dunno what such flowers would look like.

Can't say the name but I can give you a cutting in Springvale. The pale leaves and pink fringe is a slight stress response, probably that ground looks dry. Mine in the ground is all green, in pots I get that nice stress contrast.

EDIT: the two image replies are the same plant.
