I agree. They're still doing a lot of the things that I love about dumb action movies. They have been consistently good for a while now without getting stale or too predictable.

Here's a list of tons of leftist movies.
It's everything that was good about 90s action movies, distilled and polished. They're dumb, fast, loud, and optimistic.
Reposting something I wrote earlier:
Don’t understand why people are so pro-Cruise this Mission Impossible release cycle. Dude’s a member of a cult and has been past his prime for awhile now. I’d be impressed with him if he made a movie where he didn’t have control of the script and couldn’t change it.
Cruise sucks but I don't feel that bad watching and enjoying him jump around while trying to entertain me. I know he's in a cult and probably contributes a lot to prop them up but the bar is so low for Hollywood that I don't even really feel that guilty about it.
Nothing will ever get me to watch top gun though. Fuck that nationalist drivel.
It is pretty interesting that he used to take chances, work with people like Kubrick, PTA etc, and at some point he clearly decided not to do anything like that anymore and devote himself to bring Action Cinema Man. He runs a lot better than I do tbf
