love that spain won, absolutely deserved winners, Southgate's mentality midget tactic of sitting back the moment they equalize is fucking egregious, how little time it took to create the best chance of the game with the Rice header, 4 minutes after conceding? why can't they play attacking football like that all the time? England has the most stacked attack of all teams and they play defensive football when that's their biggest weakness.

Yeah I always suspected a late goal would take them out sometime. It's weird he seems to play for a draw I think anyone else would want a solid goal or two lead.
Southgate's mentality midget tactic of sitting back the moment they equalize is fucking egregious
There's a really interesting (if a little overblown) piece in The Guardian - basically arguing that England's entire failure can be attributed to (or at least embodied by) one throw in that Kyle Walker took not long after the equaliser. Instead of chucking it into the box, he threw it 40 yards back to Stones, who gave it back to keeper, and England didn't touch the ball in Spain's half again for about 15 minutes.
Yeah they had a bit of momentum, gave the ball away and spain refused to give it back
Fuck yes!!!
Great final, always a joy watching Spain
I'm expecting this to be a boring one. I hope I'm wrong
Finals are often tense affairs so you're probably right, it's rare to get something like Argentina - France. At least Spain has been playing well so far, which gives me a bit of hope. Though I imagine England will try their best to underwhelm.
Second half was good :)
Vamooooooos
Tense game so far. It’s Spain’s game but England are putting the pressure on.
Game got really interesting in the second half. Great job Spain and England
Caviar ❤️
Not quite as good, but still a very nice goal! Certainly more difficult to score that way!
Morata has really been disappointing since the beginning of the tournament. He's been missing a lot of attempts, some are unforgivable 😵💫
Yeah he's been disappointing
I wouldn't say he's been a disappointment. His role as a striker has always been more akin to what he's shown in this tournament than what some might expect of him, and especially with this team you could predict that his playing time would mostly be spent on refining offensive possession rather than scoring.
Fair, I haven't paid close attention. I just keep seeing him waste incredible occasions, but you're right that scoring is not everything a player can do on the pitch
Kane shouldn’t be in the team, never mind the captain. Saka’s carrying them.
Finished with an exact prediction! 😁
The right result for the tournament and on the night.
Same here ha ha
Looking forward to this game.
Fuck me what a boring game. Finals are often cautious but this is intensely uninteresting.
There's a couple attempts, great saves. Far from the worse game of the Euro this year.
Niko is such a delight
How was that not offside?
I know the rules are the rules, but the knee feels like just chance honestly. Certainly nothing that should dictate the outcome of the game.
Incredible high kick. Wrong sport though
Spain were the better team but England proved they deserved to be there.
not really; 30 minutes of decent football (which is kind of expected considering the quality Southgate had available) and nothing more.
