Even if the dog wasn't blind and deaf it weighs what 13 lbs, what's it going to do nip your ankle? Cops are literally puppy kickers. The old trope was "and he kicks puppies too!" for when someone had no good qualites and here we are with your average cop that's worshiped as a hero.

Teddy repeatedly avoided capture as the officer tried to put the catch pole around the dog’s neck.
He was no good angel. Next time don’t try resisting arrest.
JFC... it was just milling about, minding its own business. I was doing a home call at my old job and the person I was there to help had a dog about the same size as this one. It kept nipping at my legs. It was fucking annoying, but I never felt the need to put a hand on the dog myself. Cops are the biggest cowards in the world.
Cops are the biggest cowards in the world.
also their entire training budget is blown on listening to freaks like this
I found a YouTube link in your comment. Here are links to the same video on alternative frontends that protect your privacy:
don't know how the people this happens don't dedicate the rest of their lives to vigilante murdering that cop
Self preservation is a hell of a drug.
Fr though, I’d be distraught and unreasonable.
They would never find the body.
It’s a very small town. He should be looking over his shoulder every night
I’ve been bit by a dog about that size, maybe a bit bigger. Guess what happened? I had to settle for a too large bandaid because I didn’t have any of appropriate size.
Cops are so fucking cowardly they’re going to need to stand on a tarp so the wall doesn’t get soaked in piss when the day comes.
“Believing the dog to be severely injured or infected with rabies, and as the officer feared being bitten and being infected with rabies, the SPD officer felt that his only option was to put the animal down,”
It's insane that cops think they can use their already bs "I felt in danger" excuse on a 13 lb tiny dog.
excited dog-lerium
According to the article, the cop never said he feared for his life but the city said he did, then doubled down on it in a second statement
I know the neighbor likely didn't intend for this type of ending but never call the police in regards to a stray dog or fuck prolly even a cat, all you've done is ensured euthanasia via cop for the poor animal.
Anyway fuck cops.
just uh yknow
dont kill the dog
easy
Kinda surprising that the NY Post is running this
I feel like the phrase "gun down" started out as a euphemistic idiom to make "kill" sound less bad for cops and other varieties of mayos
Your typical USPS mail carrier delivering on foot gets attacked way more often by actually aggressive dogs and all they have to defend themselves with is the mail bag and maybe some type of pepper spray. And they go out six days a week.
Cops seem to get to wear heavy fabric rip stop pants, body armor, those gloves with the padding in the knuckles, and carry a small arsenal all the time and might have to deal with one or two barking dogs a year. And blast away anything they come across.
