Nathan Pyle is always right

Disagree. He's against abortion.

In April 2019, a Twitter post by Pyle from 2017 resurfaced regarding the pro-life rally March For Life. According to some reporters, Pyle's tweet expressed support for, or defended, March For Life. The tweet caused many fans to turn against Strange Planet and its creator, in a controversy described by at least one outlet as an example of the Milkshake Duck phenomenon.

Pyle released a statement shortly afterwards which did not mention abortion, but said that he and his wife "have private beliefs as they pertain to our Christian faith. We believe separation of church and state is crucial to our nation flourishing." He also stated they voted for the Democratic Party, and were "troubled by what the Republican Party has become and [did] not want to be associated with it."

Seems reasonable enough. Dude's allowed to have opinions I think are bad, and seems to get over his bad opinions in the face of much worse opinions, inasmuch as a direct statement from the person in question can show that.

Yeah I thought I was losing my mind for a bit but a lot of people forgot after the first little kerfuffle about it.

I never heard about it in the first place.

I see ice-cream this tall and think:
YOU ARE DOOMED BY YOUR HUBRIS.
DO NOT DELAY FOR SMILES OR RECORD KEEPING.
EAT YOUR TASTY TREAT CAREFULLY BEFORE GRAVITY MAKES A FOOL OF YOU.

Me, enjoying a pound of frozen yogurt in a bowl-like container with spoon: 😎

There is an ice cream chain in Quebec called 'les chocolats favoris' who make a cone that is in line with this.

My favourite!

Les chocolats favoris my beloved

There's a soft serve place near me that gives you huge servings. They're not quite as big as in the picture, but if you get a large, you have to be very careful about it toppling over.

Nathan Pyle, the guy who said abortion should be illegal because he and his wife don't think they would ever get one

[–] [email protected] 10 points 6 months ago (1 children)

This is why you get a half kid size for your toddler.

Watching that much soft serve go into a 2yo, with the resulting crazyness 5minutes later is not cool.

fuck that I always wanted the biggest cones as a kid and I regret nothing

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

Oh I understand the 2yo wants the big cone.....I don't want a 3ft psychopath, and I have the money!

[–] [email protected] 9 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Hmmm, if this were in proportion to body volume then it may lead to an infinite cycle of the ice cream getting larger -> the body getting larger -> the icecream getting larger -> etc. Depending on the frequency of course.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

Eventually becoming so supermassive as to create a Soft Serve Singularity

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago (1 children)

pfft Randall would have commented on the disproportionate volume increase

[–] [email protected] 2 points 6 months ago (1 children)

Does the adult's volume not increase disproportionally compared to the toddler, as well?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 6 months ago

As well as the adult's ice cream volume. The volume of the person, as well as the volume of the snack

[–] [email protected] 6 points 6 months ago

oh man I gottsta get me some lactose intolerance farts to go along with this

[–] [email protected] 5 points 6 months ago

How do you think I got so fat?

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

I've had this an it's just as amazing as it sounds.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 6 months ago

Costco for a while sold large ice cream bars from their cantina. While not proportionately larger they did help with the disappointment I felt going to DQ decades later to notice the cone was much smaller than the last time.
