humans are cringe, it's inescapable. You are born, you live for 10-12 non-cringe years, then you have about 18 years of pure cringe followed by 40 years of working at an insurance company until you die.

Gen Z is lucky they didn't have a seemingly nice future to look forward to, they've always known pain and have the luxury of not knowing a time without it.
i'd say my hopes and dreams are more the consistency of sawdust or flour, effectively weightless and subject to the every whim of external circumstances.

A lot of Gen X dodged cringe, demographically, by turning into boilerplate apathetic consumers that hate the idea of anyone caring too much about anything.
