Are heat-pumps used in a lot in the EU?

I will say I am pretty AC pilled, but if the it takes off in Europe more I hope they go the route option of last resort and do everything else first. Unfortunately in the US when was introduced it was seen as a sign of wealth to have central air AC be THE only method of cooling the home we have a ton of places not built for anything else.

No planned shade trees, no air flow routes from outside air, no fans or ceiling fans that too decorative to be effective, no misting systems, etc

At least more efficient windows are taking off.

Worse yet, many apartments here has the tenets pay electric bills so the incentive to have been efficient from the landlords is next to nothing.

This plus some autist traits I think led to my anti authority under pinnings. You get told no a lot for reasons they can't explain and you start too a majority of norms are just enforced through sociol habit

Tbf I think that is because systems that were classified as AI became the backend for a lot language translation

Did they finally fix the issues found in the EpstienFiles release or Hantavirus mostly fix those? /s

Honestly I kind of get the dark humor, its fucking insane how those things kind of loom in the modern world.

You used to be able to get Chinese posters kicked off the internet just for saying Tiannamen Square Massacre.

Like full heated debate through it in the response somewhere and that person was gone from the chat/forum.

It was very funny as a troll, but it really did cement the censorship claims

I like the idea we'd all be modern day nephlim giants if it weren't for global warming

I'm glad opensource engines are really clawing there way up for this reason. If you are making something ambitious enough you almost need the ability to muck around with niche under pinnings but hopefully if it's opensource they can both be standard and muck around

I played halo 3 with music from my dad's CDs playing in the background so much I tried timing my progress so Snow Blind would hit on the mountain top where the glare hits you.

Absolute master piece

Right?! Those are all more mature technologies that have immediate use.

MCP servers for the underlying OS is a stretch further towards "ok but why?".

Getting specifically LLMs to run in fedora? Sure someone could do that but it's not a desktop thing to me and the space is in so much constant flux that creating a "standard" way is an effort in futility.

But yeah seeing something like immich's search features being brought OS level would be awesome.

OCR and TTS both are kind of neglected accibility features that really could use some love imho too

One of the coolest French drains I've seen is just breathable yard cloth wrapped around rocks.

Just keeps dirt out of it. And water flowing

They are explicitly building more "national defense" facilities under the ballroom. With speculation that the planned AI powered mass survelience system will be routed through there because of the connection to the residence of the president limits the oversight and regulation typically afforded for data from spying on citizens.

Got to check out their booth at KubeCon and they shared the stuff they used for auto deploying their demos. Saw this gem in there.

For context this a fleet config to have it pushed to downstream clusters managed by Rancher

With the boycott for Teslas seemingly going strong I was wondering if anyone has successfully removed the proprietary software off any of the models or removed it from the Tesla network?

Considering that the cameras send data to other cars on the network to be processed (using the customers power instead of the company's) this seems better than just reselling to me.

I am trying to migrate to cooperative or mutual owned businesses in my life, but one real problem I have is managing all of the elections and votes I am part of now.

Does anyone know of good tools to help store and track stakeholder rights and participation? Like reminders that a vote is in month. Best places to find updates and info. Etc?
