Once you stop driving cities should be great because so much stuff is in walking distance or has transit to get you close
I agree driving a slow car fast is was more fun than driving a fast car slow!
Hell yeah one of my favorite games!
They do a lot of optimization for modern hardware like supporting wide screen resolutions. They fixed major show stopper bugs along with a ton of tiny fixes and added a lot of mod-like options in the settings.
For example it's a turn based game so your guys do everything based on "time units". In the base game it can be a big risk to peek around a corner, see an enemy and not have time to fire or even retreat back to safety. OpenXcom can show you how many time units you'll have left and in colors if you have enough time to shoot when you get there. Cool stuff!
The AI seems pretty true to vanilla but they put in a rule that you have at least one turn to get out of your drop ship without being fragged or rocketed by aliens. There are third party mods that make the aliens work as a team to sneak up or flank you. Those scare me so I haven't tried it yet lol
I played some X-COM via OpenXcom. Having fun trying to keep from getting massacred assaulting an alien base!
I remember the croc cap from Metal Gear Solid 3
And Crocs (the shoe) look more like gators lol
When the movie shows anything to do with your job/hobbies
Good, glad it's getting some main stream attention. If more people start taking advantage of these settings and alternatives it's going to hurt Meta's bottom line eventually
The "we did it reddit!" phrase comes from redditors trying to track down suspects of the boston bombing. Redditors found a guy they strongly suspected, then found personal info on them and began harrassing him and family, including death threats.
Imagine being that person accused! One day just living life, the next experiencing a horrible bombing, the next being tracked down by a misguided internet randos on a manhunt.
This is why having some basic privacy is important before you need it
In my experience people who are against more Ukraine aid think that the dollar amount we send is actual cash that can be spent in other places, rather than pallets of munitions that don't keep forever anyway.
CIA/Pentagon/White House workers have lives. When something big goes down like ....oh I don't know....Iran getting spicy and launching hundreds of drones and missiles at Israel overnight, those lives get disrupted.
People work overtime and order takeout or aren't able to go out on the town like they normally would so that makes changes to the usual data patterns in the DC area. So they say ramp ups in US military activity can be predicted by detecting those changes.
I believe that is a factor, who wouldn't want to rule their own little kingdom? And nobody wants that more than a jerk that thinks they are better than everyone
But really I think it's gold rush style greed. Whoever gets a settlement on Mars will want to make it a truck stop to help anyone trying to explore deeper reaches of space and make ridiculous money for a long, long time
If you can assemble and launch rockets on mars instead of Earth you can do waaay more because you're only fighting 1/3 of gravity for each launch so you get more fuel/cargo/range
