On a serious note, having been that guy, this is the worst experience ever.

15 years of slowly being convinced being who I was, was wrong. 15 years of being told she was normal, what I wanted wasn't. 15 years of isolation. 15 years brainwashing. 15 years of ever building self doubt.

Then she cheated on me.

Somehow I haven't been in grippy socks yet. Pretty fucking close though with the outpatient stuff I do. Been on one date with someone else.

Edit: A greentext post of all places to get this wonderful support. 🥲

So this brings up a funny story.

IDK when, but I was on a trip, thinking about my ex wife(then girlfriend at the time) with my parents somewhere and they had these vibrating back massager things. Usually they're like 4 wooden balls on sticks attached to a wooden handle. I knew how much my ex loved it. Anyway I thought "dude fucking brilliant" and I bought it for her and my parents were like: "Uh, ok? You sure she's going to like that?" "I'm like are you kidding me? The number of times I have to get sore hands from giving her a back massage is incredible!" Oh, I'm like 15 at the time.

Well, I gift it to her, and with the smallest hint of embarrassment says she absolutely loves it. That night she thanks me again, saying it made things so much easier, in kind of a flirty tone. I completely miss all social cues always so this didn't register. Sometime later I come over and she wants one of the back rubs, and I'm like "hey, grab that tool I got!"

She responds with "I'm not in the mood for that, besides it's out of batteries."

I thought I was going to fold into myself. "How many back rubs have you given yourself?" "Oh, like none. Just the fun stuff." The heaviest levels of cringe hit, knowing how many people saw me buying this for my girlfriend completely oblivious to what it would be used for.

This defeats the entire purpose of me having android

Like I'm just going to switch to an iPhone now. Not because Apple is any better, but because I have more family with them.

They took away our SD cards, they took away our removable batteries, they took away our headphone jacks. Now they're taking away side loading apps, and that's it. I'm done. The death of android.

I don't want to come off as pedantic, but what we're dealing with in the US is a very strange and successful breed of "Christian Nationalism."

Essentially, it's a belief that ultra-conservative Christianity is the only legitimate religion and that the USA is a Christian nation.

It probably comes as no surprise that these people heavily influenced the Confederacy, is strongly white-supremecist, anti-vice, etc, and has been an anathema in this country since before the states actually formed.

Christians themselves are... A problem, but not the problem. It's these Christian nationalists. They're loud. They want you to think all Christians believe what they do too. They also tend to drown out opposing Christian speakers by being louder than them too.

It's one of the reasons why MLK Jr was hated so much by Hoover, by the south, etc. He was a Christian pastor, and stood against everything they did.

It's important that we don't group Christians in with Christian Nationalists. It's very difficult but necessary.

I do believe people were calling me alarmist for noticing strange patterns.

Like winning all 7 swing states? Your fucking kidding me right?

Is anyone aware of any FOSS browser replacement projects? Being a "full stack dev" (feels like a false skill set most of the time) I'm at this point where there are easily enough of us who have struggled with implementing web apps in the various frameworks and tools that essentially all boil down to JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

There's nothing wrong with them individually, but with modern languages and hardware we should be able to make something better. At least in a way to encourage adoption of something better, and I want to contribute to it.

As y'all know, shit be going down in the US. And while I'm all for staying and fighting, my son comes first. I'm pretty familiar with Canadian culture, and my state borders y'all. I have an uncle from there Tok (just don't know where).

  1. I know it's super expensive, but if I had to guess thats based on population?

  2. I've got 12 years experience doing software development, Devops, system engineering, device engineering, with a BA in Computer Engineering. Are there certain companies to avoid? Certain companies/locations to check out? Salary isn't nearly as important as being able to afford living.

  3. I know some French and I am working on more. Is this helpful?

  4. Also, I need a bit of a kickstart to understanding the political landscape. We'll start with I'm pro-choice, an Ally, anti-gun, support democracy and love the ranked choice system, and subsidized healthcare. Taxes and the government work for the people.

  5. Work commutes? I've done hour long commutes, I've done bus commutes, Ive walked to work, driven, and remote, just need to know what to expect.

  6. I already say sorry for everything, any other cultural norms I should know about?

  7. Is it too obvious I'm panicked?

How to make a martyr in 180 days?

It's really crazy we are literally living in a new type of world.

The wealthy ARE the powerful, but the rest of us out number them to such grand extent that the only way they can remain wealthy is through fear and murder.

There is no war but class war.

This is big. Uncomfortably big.

She was investigating two Russian nationals involved in some pretty big fraud.

Russia has no hard power. We know this. But they excel at the psychological game.

She is a beautiful, white, blonde woman.

They took advantage of "Missing White Woman Syndrome" to send a message. This is terrifying.

The message is: "the US isn't going to punish you. The Kremlin is."

No, I pretty much supported him the moment it was clear that the CEO toppled over from a pre-existing condition called "being vulnerable to lead projectiles."

You know that kid did kind of show up out of nowhere in the past couple of months.

I've never seen him with any of his kids before.

And if you think about it, he's definitely a heartless bastard to do this.

And now I'm wondering about a lot of wealthy elites I've seen with their kids lately. Many of whom I had no idea they had kids that were so strikingly young.

Interesting, interesting, interesting, interesting.

I need the bootlickers to show up and tell me it's just coincidence.

The whole damn thing is a show. They are terrified. The book they usually play by isn't working. What will happen? The amount of support Luigi has is astounding. It's even a topic I tested the waters with at work and these people I work with make a decent living.

America is waking up. I feel it.

Ever since I was a kid my dreams have been crazy as hell. Last night, I had a dream where I was dropping my kid off at school, but there were people on both sides of the road standing waiting for a wedding. I see the couple and nope right out. Turning around a curb, suddenly I was in a fucking baseball stadium and rows of seats cut me off. I had to get home so I got out of my car? I'm walking down the stairs when I hear "oh, there it is!" I look up where the person was pointing to the sky. I see some rocket like thing, and assumed it was fireworks. It stopped, I hear three dreaded bomb falling noise, and then it slams into a seat a few rows down from the wedding. I hit the deck because I don't want to die. But instead of exploding it sprays enough glitter throughout the stadium I ended up with a mouth full. Then I get out of there, call my mom, explained what happened, head to their house which is now a bunker in new York City and they refuse to believe what I went through. Then I woke up.
