The ASEAN countries joining seems like a big deal since they were supposed to be the US's alternatives to China's manufacturing. The only other big alternative is Mexico who is also drifting closer to BRICS.
Israel will colonize and settle the south, Turkey will begin restoring the Ottoman empire in the north, and the US will continue occupying the east for oil, but at least people in Syria are now free to go around destroying Christmas trees. (I despise Christmas but still.)

Yeah, I recently got back from a trip to Costa Rica and I could immediately feel the fascistic shift in atmosphere coming back. As soon as the plane touched down the immediate first thing I hear is, "LET'S CLAP AND CHEER FOR OUR TROOPS, EVERYONE ELSE WHO BUST THEIR ASS AT NORMAL JOBS, FUCK YOU YOU ARE NOT IMPORTANT."

I understand China-Vietnam relations are complicated to say the least, but I'm still wrapping my head around seeing China being viewed more positively in Canada and Western Europe than in another socialist state.
