The charities Imouhagh International, Kel Akal, Diaspora of the United States, and the Azawad Solidarity Association accuse them of crimes against humanity and war crimes.

Sounds like the the organizations complaining are mostly for the Western diaspora. Just makes me think of similar orgs for Ughyrs or Tibetans or w/e that are solely made up of people who work for the U.S. government or NGOs it funds.

I'd like to hear what the Tuaregs actually living in the area think.

They don't believe it's wrong to assault women; they just believe they're their women to assault.

It is lib shit, but at least it's "Liberals being Liberals" and not "Liberals scolding leftists for not being Liberals"

This is the essence of "meeting people where they're at", though. You are not going to turn a significant percentage of the white middle class into disciplined Marxists. The material conditions don't exist for it.

It's like, I'm in the PSL and we organize a lot of protests. Our local Indivisible branch is pretty cool as far as Libs go - they're willing to work with us, they're willing to learn, they're pro-trans rights and lean towards Palestine (but Indivisible at the national level forbids local branches from doing Palestine stuff because they're full of Zionists). And they have thousands of members, in a relatively small city.

But recently they've been expressing anxiety to me about liability - that they haven't been able to get event insurance for their protests, that they're being told they need insurance to get permits, that they believe in going through "the proper channels" especially because we live in a Democrat city. They're worried about prosecution or lawsuits because they're professional-class boomers, they have qualifications (legal/medical/engineering/etc.) that can be taken away, they have houses they could lose in a lawsuit, they have kids and grandkids to take care of.

It comes down to material conditions. The more I work with them, the more empathetic I try to be - they're doing what can be expected of them wrt their class position in society. They're not Marxists but they're never going to be.

I've been doing a lot of work with 50501/Indivisible recently. Because my account is somewhat linked to my real identity I can't be too specific or critical. But here's my take:

"Kool Karyn" is almost definitely a member of Indivisible, a nationwide Liberal anti-Trump org whose membership is almost exclusively old, middle-class, white liberals.

In my (majority-black) city, a majority-black protest of 30 will get drones and snipers and tear gas. Indivisible got 2,500 (almost all older, white) people out at a public park protest and the only cops we saw were probably just on their regular patrols.

I'm gonna punch against the grain: Karen is giving perfectly reasonable advice for her contingent, for the kinds of protests that her organization is organizing. You can criticize their politics, their strategy, their class relations - but cops are not going to drive an AV through a crowd of kneeling white boomers. And the way her post is phrased, at least, does not imply that she is giving general advice to all protestors - just the people going to this particular protest, which will almost certainly be 90% old white libs who are in practically no danger of police violence.

And just like a bunch of black students were shot at Jackson State and no one cared but when a few white students were at Kent State it was suddenly a big deal, if the old white libs do come under fire, the public and media will care. And, for their politics and class position, that's actually somewhat brave - old white libs are never going to riot, but (and trust me, I don't mean this in a hateful way) the most useful things they can do at a protest that is within their temperament and ability is commit to nonviolence and have violence brought unto them by the state.

I love the idea of people in Scandinavia and the Netherlands holding a "No Kings" protest referencing Trump lmao

Left-Wing security culture is paranoid and idiotic. I think it's a bit silly to file a FOIA request about a niche left-wing online forum but it wasn't, like, snitching lmao. It's publicly available information.

Just for this I will write to the CIA, NSA, DOD, as well as all my local representatives (Governor, federal Rep, state Rep, Mayor, City Council president, and county council long-term planning chairman) to inform them of the existence of Hexbear dot Net. Expect the site to be shut down and all users jailed within the week. If you require assistance smuggling a pack of cigarettes into jail up your butt, DM me.

Here's a link to our server! https://discord.gg/R5dPsZU

We have better houserules, a new bigger map, and we're all starting fresh from level 1!

We play DnD 3.5e over FoundryVTT, but the game is very newbie-friendly.

Hey Adventurers! Our staff got together for a big meeting yesterday and made a few rules changes. They will be added to our published rules soon, but until then, they are in effect.

First, some minor changes:

  • Female Drow can now choose to swap their +2 bonus to Intelligence for Wisdom
  • The Gray and Sun Elves now have a Level Adjustment of +1. Existing characters are grandfathered in. Our DM team is working on slightly buffing the races to make them worth the Level Adjustment, but these changes are still in development.
  • The Psychic Reformation power is banned.
  • The Imbue with Spell Ability, Psionic Identify, and Bestow Power spells/powers cannot be used by Spell-casting Improvements.
  • Feats that reduce the cost of crafting magic items are banned.
  • The Rapid Reload feat works with Renaissance firearms. With this, they take a move action to reload.

New Improvements! We've added two new Improvements to our Organization rules: A Barracks that gives an organization several NPC henchmen, and a Locus that allows the Organization free access to psionic powers.

Rules for Guilds! We've released official guidelines for Guilds fixing prices! Current guild leaders have access to these guidelines, and they will be published soon.

Crafting Points! Characters with magic item-crafting feats will get a reserve of "Craft Points" every level based on the number of crafting feats they have. The exact formula for these points is to be decided soon!

Anniversary Dungeon! Starting November 16th and running for a week, the Axe and Sickle will be holding its second bi-annual Anniversary Dungeon! Our DMs are hard at work putting it together, but start sharpening your chalk and polishing your 10-foot poles!

If you're not already playing with us, join us on our Discord server! https://discord.gg/R5dPsZU

I'm posting from Lemmygrad so I downvoted you, comrade.

I love it when I see a post on Hexbear with like 10 Lemmygrad downvotes, it's like a secret handshake.

Howdy! I’m Drew, and I’m the administrator of a Socialist West-Marches DnD 3.5e Discord Server, the Axe and Sickle! The server is over a year old, has a dozen DMs, over 30 active members (and over a hundred lurkers), and hosts an average of 2 or 3 games a week. The game has an old-school, traditional fantasy feel.

Devastated by an unknown catastrophe centuries ago, the Ohm Basin is home to naught but monsters and outlaws. A retired adventurer from a foreign land has founded a town in the middle of it, and adventurers - such as yourselves - file into its tavern, the Axe and Sickle, to secure their own fortune! Plunge ancient depths to uncover lost secrets, thwart necromancers who build their strength away from civilization, and compete with fellow grave-robbers to loot forgotten tombs!

If you don’t know what a West Marches Game is, it is a style of DnD game where, rather than a static party that meets regularly and follows the DM’s campaign, the players themselves choose who to adventure with (and when to meet) for a single expedition before returning to town and disbanding. This is good for players with inconsistent schedules and interest, as it is an extremely low-commitment game. You don’t need to set aside any time in your schedule for this game on a permanent basis; just pick a time and day that works for you, one session at a time. And if you have the energy for anywhere between two games a week to one game a month or even one game ever, you can be accommodated.

The only things required are a Discord account and a mic. Prior DnD experience is not; everyone is welcome. For now, all games are run in English. The game is a safe space for Socialists but anyone is welcome as long as they aren't disruptive.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We’ve recently expanded our DM team and are looking to run even more games than we do now, but to do that we need more players. We’d love to have you!

Is there any way to view all posts on a given instance (as if that instance was your home instance and set to "local"), and not just a specific community/communities you are subscribed to?

Specifically, my home instance is Lemmygrad, but I'm interested in ttrpgs and want to keep up with ttrpg.network. This instance is relatively inactive so I never see their posts on my front page, and it's content is spread over several communities. I want to be able to see what's going on there while still using my Lemmygrad account.
