I use duckduckgo as preferred search engine, while starting at my new job I used google for a bit (before setting up firefox, yes librewolf needed extra permissions and I couldn't be bothered).

Search promopt: word highlight shortcut. Gemini suggested Ctrl+shift+H but it is Ctrl+alt+H. Every now and then I feel like I need to try AI products because I work in data domain ~~because~~ and it's always a good idea confirm whether something is as bad as you think it is.

Few things I remember about the website are: it contained ads, it listed the software first you had to click on the description to understand to which software it was an alternative of.

I am not sure if this is allowed, mods please feel to remove it if it violates any guidelines.

Update: Thanks guys, got it!

I was born in 1997 and have no clue how the .com bubble looked like. With the way they are advertising AI right now (it will solve every problem on earth) it just annoys me, and what's worse people who aren't in the ML/DL field are buying it too. I am just curious how the .com was like and how it compares to the current AI bubble?

I am from India and currently work in IT. Due to a lot of reasons I did not pursue cooking but my main motivation to pursue cooking was this aspect, and if you are interested check out community kitchens in India (Mega Kitchens docu series is a good place to start)

I am no economist, but don't you think this behaviour of Amazon leads to "carrot and stick" and at that point it is basically a monopoly right?

Completly out of context, but I want to ask an important question

I am from India, currently studying in Australia and back home I was actively involved in politics. Being involved in politics means I have to give a damn about the US, and for the first time in my life I happened to watch the presidental debate. Ever since, I have been wondering how Trump has so much following and how was he a president of your country? Not a single statement of his made sense, and not to mention how he always deviated from the topic being discussed. Can someone please explain what is happening in the US?

I am honesty waiting for the day, "when AI can solve all the physics problems". I mean with respect to where AI currently stands and the very fact that we cannot define generalisation with respect to deep learning. How can they make such bold statements without talking any accountability and responsibility? I agree it is pure corporate greed motivated PR show but there should be some level of sanity, responsibility and accountability

Edit: Typos and grammar

Swimming, I don't know why it works or how it works. Regular swimming stimulates me, even though 100 things don't go well in a day one small thing of swimming somehow works
