It's the explanation for every right winger: you're either a moron, or evil, thought most commonly a good mix of both.

The ones in the former camp need to repeatedly "learn from their mistakes". Unless you're in the latter category, one would think that any reasonable person should think "maybe opinions on how to do things is better left to others", but alas, a lack of such processes is a requirement for the moron bit.

Except when anyone does any work on the concrete, anywhere in the building.

Children are in real danger of harm, as a result of this. I am thinking of the general safety for children, in wanting them to not be individually identified and targeted for manipulation and have their data sold.

It also equally applies to everyone else. What absolute ghouls and/or dimwits that are pushing for this.

I find that it really depends. Some contracted work mostly take specialised equipment, where the necessary skill is something you can pick up. The cost of the equipment is often (at entry level, but more than good enough for the task at hand) less than the show + a couple of hours.

You spent the whole weekend maybe. But you learned something new. Got some nice tools. And more often than not, did a better job because you didn't rush anything.

Indistinguishable from some random masked dudes driving unmarked vans up to a group of kids, with the intention of kidnapping some of them? Sheeeesh. There has to be some serious nation wide lead poisoning over there.

I don't see what the big deal is. This is just a Roman roof shape.

Until proven otherwise, I assume either ignorance or malicious intentions by those who want to rename these "problematic" terms. It does nothing to improve the actual issues.

The false pretense of having done something, is worse than doing nothing. It's just noise.

To be clear: I don't mind the changing of terms. I'm too old to care about trivial stuff like main vs master. But if the reasoning for such a change is dumb and potentially harmful, you've lost my respect.

Why did he think that? Also, why have no one mentioned Valérian and Laureline? It is much easier to argue was more than just a little inspiration?

The comic was published in 1967, ten years before star wars.

I remember seeing more side by side comparison somewhere, and the list of passing coincidences was very long. I think it was this one

To anyone wondering. Sauna boats are not common in Norway. It's not "a thing". Please don't add it to the list of Scandinavian stereotypes 🙏

Never trust cloud solutions when it isn't your cloud.

The more accurate description is "Israel's war against Palestine". And, given the power difference and stated goals: "Israel's ongoing genocide of Palestine".

And if you think that it sounds a bit too disturbing, just try to imagine a pile of 4000 children. It might ruin your day.

Could "Billionaire X's latest stupid remark" not be considered "technology" news?
