To be honest the natural temperature control would do wonders for my utility bill LOL

Do u think the people used to hitting the power button and clicking the game they want to play on a console are gonna be able to set up Linux and work out the inevitable bugs? I think moving from a console -> windows PC is a good intermediate step before going to Linux, and hell to this day I still use a windows PC because of the programs i need for tuning ecus and designing 3d models (yes I know i can use freecad but also my job has a fusion 360 subscription and thats what we use at work, and no there aren't any ECU tuning programs worth a shit on Linux that wont brick a 1k$ ecu). Yea windows is enshitified, but I'd argue it's less enshitified then either console at this point and I'd rather see people move away from consoles to windows than keep buying consoles because they can't figure out how to get their GPU to work with the distro they chose. I personally have gone through and debloated windows to the point it works great. I understand that same effort could have been spent setting up a good distro, but no distro would run HP tuners or tripnic suite or ecuflash and I WONT risk running in a virtual box or any of that crap for my applications, too much at risk! And don't worry I didn't give microslop a dime 🏴‍☠️

Wikipedia is a great start point. You read the wiki, then check the references. Just like reading the news, you should never take one source at face value! Engage your ✨ CRITICAL THINKING ✨

Just so you know, the larger gauge wires were to carry more current required by the old halogen bulb and are unnecessarily large for an LED light. A better comparison of how shit is crap these days is that a lot of electronics don't even use copper wire but instead copper clad aluminum that's subject to corroding withing 5-10 years of use. But I love to see you repairing things and "upgrading" along the way with thicker gauge wire! Just wanted to point out the larger power consumption of older appliances is often why they have larger gauge wires. There is nothing better for the environment than fixing and reusing what we have rather than replacing !

"Trump administration’s ongoing attacks on scientific research" is the rest of the quote ur missing here that I feel adds context. I feel like it's fair to call out Trump for attacking the scientific community at a scientific conference, which his goons then gave him the boot for being critical of the regime. What times we live in...

To be fair, once fuel prices go up the cost of EVERYTHING also goes up. So no it's not just about pain at the pump, it's pain at the grocery check out. Pain when the oil truck comes to deliver your liquid heat. Pain when you buy anything plastic, anything grown with fertilizers. People don't realize petroleum is in almost everything! And if it doesn't use a petroleum product in manufacturing, it certainly does in shipping.

Has always been this way. Back in the late 70/early 80s, Harley couldn't compete with the Japanese bikes so they lobbied to daddy fed to make sure all the foreign bikes got tarriffed out of existence over 700cc. So the Japanese said "hold my soju" and made 699cc motorcycles that still made more power than the gargantuan Harley bikes of the time. USA has always tried to give US based companies a leg up over objectively superior products. Our tax dollars are why there are any American car companies left, sure Ford didn't get a direct bail out but we use them for police and other service vehicles across the country which has helped keep them afloat. Plus obviously Chrysler and GM taking govt bailouts and still flailing desperately while making trash vehicles and wondering why they don't sell. The American auto industry doesn't struggle to keep pace, it has NEVER caught up to or even compared to the rest of the world. They have always been 30+ years behind any European or Asian vehicle.

Yea it's not the addiction or even the brainworms that disqualify him, it's simply his stupidity.

Ford can't hire techs cuz they don't pay shit. No robot with any amount of ai nonsense in it will ever be remotely capable of replacing a mechanic. When is it ok to get the acetylene torch out? How does the bolt FEEL as you undo it, is it about to snap? Do u need to pump heat into it and feed it some wax? Did you spill brake fluid on the customers paint? Was the customer concern duplicated before determining what the repair was? Who did the diagnostic work? Was it test driven and quality checked afterward? Was the customer made aware of any other potential issues down the road? Ai and robots may be able to help in menial and manufacturing tasks but would never be capable of repair in automotive, especially not anywhere rust is common !

Curious to see how unglued this country gets after pissing on Trump's parade, I have a feeling we're in for quite a treat

This is the sort of adoption we need to bring Linux into the mainstream
