"faith" is just a politically correct propaganda word. It's better to use the more valid term "dogma".

Musk is just the latest of dozens of people that Trump hired who ended up denouncing Trump later.

[-] [email protected] 2 points 2 days ago

He’s just trying to cover his arse and recover what’s left of his shattered reputation.

Nope. The reason he is doing this is to keep on getting the narcistic attention that all narcissists crave. Its the same reason he joined with Trump in the first place. He wanted to horn in on Trump's narcistic attention. And now after being fired he wants to keep on getting narcistic attention independently of Trump's narcistic attention.

We can’t because he bought one of the largest megaphones in existence

Nope. We don't hear about Musk's twitter crap from reading twitter, we hear about it only because the news media shoves it in people's faces. The new media is handing Musk his megaphone.

I hope the two tear each other apart

Yep I loathe narcistic billionaires and pay as little attention to them as possible. But when 2 of them go after each other, I do enjoy watching that.

Breaking news.

Hard Core Nazi Steve Bannon calls for narcistic fascist Elon Musk to be deported immediately.

Like when Ted Cruz said that Trump "lies practically every word that comes out of his mouth".

Ted Cruz actually nailed down Trump's character better than any other politician.

MAKE AMERICA GREAT NEVER

I really loathe narcistic billionaires and hate paying any attention to them at all. But 2 narcisstic billionaires fighting each other? That I like to watch.

So democrats are republicans with a sense of shame?

Nope. There is a very easy objective way to tell Republicans and Democrats apart. Republicans are politicians who vote for huge tax cuts for billionaires and Dems are politicians who vote against it.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Nope. 20 years ago all Republicans were voting for tax cuts for the rich just like today and 20 years ago even fewer Dems were voting against tax cuts for the rich than today. Dems stopped moving to the right about 25 years ago and since then have been moving left, although way too slowly.

[-] [email protected] 3 points 2 days ago

Yes its a net positive. Like when ex-Republican turned Dem senator Arlen Spector provided the crucial 60th vote to pass Obamacare after he was primaried by the Club for Growth. Republican infighting created a crucial win for the left.

That would be in line with what we already know.

More than half of Americans reported receiving at least one scam call per day in 2024. To combat the rise of sophisticated conversational scams that deceive victims over the course of a phone call, we introduced Scam Detection late last year to U.S.-based English-speaking Phone by Google public beta users on Pixel phones.

We use AI models processed on-device to analyze conversations in real-time and warn users of potential scams. If a caller, for example, tries to get you to provide payment via gift cards to complete a delivery, Scam Detection will alert you through audio and haptic notifications and display a warning on your phone that the call may be a scam.

More states join lawsuit against North Texas-based RealPage, accused of artificially inflating housing costs

Data from the White House Council of Economic Advisors released last year showed the use of RealPage's algorithm added about $132 to monthly rent in 2023.

Washington State joined with more than a dozen states, accusing landlords of colluding to inflate rents through price-fixing, Washington's Attorney General Nick Brown said last month.

Vice President JD Vance traveled to Capitol Hill late Wednesday to cast a tie-breaking vote in the Senate that killed a bipartisan effort to rebuke President Donald Trump’s trade policy.

Earlier in the evening, the Senate rejected the resolution that would have effectively blocked Trump’s global tariffs by revoking the emergency order the president is using to enact them. Two senators who were set to vote for the resolution, Republican Mitch McConnell and Democrat Sheldon Whitehouse, were absent, allowing the resolution to fail 49-49.
