We are all paying for it right now

Do you think we need more houses for white couples to populate the country or to help house horrible immigrants who ruined their country and are now flooding ours?

I get what you are saying but if it was binary between the two it left a lot of context out and bizzare specifics in

Places with decent democratic processes stand the best chance. PRSTV is the best way to stave off emotional swings in government.

Great to see.

The ubiquiti bell is the best but it is american and overpriced. I want something that can record, two way talk and display a message. The parcel camera is a bonus. It also needs to be able to be silenced at set times.

I would say there is a lot more I would be considering from the sales process, building regulations, poor infrastructure support from ESB and Uisce, terrible planning process, to the push for residential property as investments and associated tax benefits from forgoing traditional investments in favur of housing.

Immigrants are those that they hope to take advantage of by renting out properties.

If it was an either or I would throw out all results of this survey, feeling good isnt worth lying to ourselves.

I find firefox more cumbersome than ever to use. Small things like expanding menu optionslook great but practically add steps to interactions.

I cant intuitively make a bookmark a shortcut, it just happens and if I edit it, it gets pinned. I want a list of favourites but instead there are dozens of reddit variations suggested because of browsing habits instead of accepting my r/all shortcut as being my entry point.

I can select always desktopmode but not choose what domains it should only do it for.

I hate chrome but it works better, I had to use it for work and it became the default. It is am unfortunate slog to degoogle whereas before I enjoyed being provacy focused because it got me a better product.

There was a great channell that uploaded hours and hours lf recovered advertisements and it was really cool. I hate ads but a lot of the companies were dead so it was more nostalgic and interesting than anything.

There was also a dude who took all te youtube videos that were auto uploaded from te first iphone under the same generic name and created a random clipshow.

Apple wont give gyro data but firefox will, firefox wont give battery data but chrome will. Everyone gives screen size and density data.

Why are these data points not discussed with privacy?

A great intro to Ireland's best living singer/songwriter, from his self titled 2019 album and featured in Tin Star with Tim Roth.

I have a syncbox with an apple box and playstation in hdmi 1&2. Usually using the apple remote turns on the apple box which them turns on the sync and tv. Starting this week, using the apple remote turns on the apple tv which turns on the sync box which turns on the playstation!

I dont know what changed, I did not change any settings.

Would anyone with the abililty and time be up for creating a space to discuss upcoming or classic european movies. I say upcoming because it would be great to support our own, and older because I have lots of great ones to share!

Hi All,

Focusing on privacy and open standards, can anyone suggest network elements from switches routers to IoT like doorbells and lights.

Install Issue (lemmy.world)
submitted 6 months ago by Squizzy@lemmy.world to c/linux@lemmy.ml

Hey so I legitimately own C&C remastered. I cannot find my huge dvd case game and got the repack instead.

I install it on steam using setup.exe and forcing proton 9.something.

I get it to install, it crashes due to some dependency issue. I hope to solve that issue but my main concern is where does it install, why can't I just see it in the list of games in my library? All I see is the setup.exe in the list.

Disclaimer. New to everything mentioned here, linux, steam, repacks pc gaming. The works.

I am trying to install gopher64 through the flathub link on their git. Mint is supposed to have support baked in but it is saying there is no associated program and I cant find one.

Any advice?

Dylan Moran (lemmy.world)

Saw him recently, very impressed with him. He has always been brilliant, I ws surprised to see him mention some american stuff but delighted to say he called out Joe Rogan as shite and those who performed in Saudi as whores.

I am looking to have a physical switch installed in my living room to control the PC.

  • Is it a possibility to have that, are there issues to be considered?

  • I am thinking a fancy looking wood and press clicky switch with good travel. Suppliers?

  • Volume would also be great to have.

Any avice appreciated.

Firstly, don't think I am loaded here this is an ideal list that I will chip away at over time - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/xVL9kf

I am looking at getting a fractal desigm north xl second hand, I presume there is no danger in that other than standard non new concerns.

Are case models universal or will I need a specific motherboard and then specific cpu/gpu etc.?

I just want something as a proof of concept that this can be for me. I am aware I am the problem.

But everything is wildly difficult for me. I pulled back from docker after realising it was above my skillset, I just want to try home assisstant with a few lights but fair enough it is beyond me.

I opted to install a game, fail. Learn about wine and bottles. Start a bottle and get told I only have 8gb free in directory, I cannot for the life of me see where it is getting that from.

Please god someone tell me there is a step by step for the fucking imbeciles out there on where to start!?

Hi all! I am running some recent version of Mint. I have been away for a bit but came back and thenpc reads 0 bytes free. Ooening the directory shows tons of files in home/private/ecryptfs some as small at 12MB and some as big as 170GB.

I tried to get some info but the terminal returned nothing on them, thought it might be shit and I dont have anything precious on it so I moved to delete but was told there are no such files when I did. I tried to sudo remove but got permission denied.

At this point, realising I dont have this connected to the web, and it hasnt been switched on in months despite the files showing ages 1-6 months - I thought an aold fashioned reboot would solve but now Mint won't let me passed the password login.

It recognises incorrect passwords but correct ones give a quick flash of a black screen with a typing marker flashing and back to login.

Any direction appreciated.
