Take precautions. Seriously. Economic abuse is just as if not even more common than physical abuse. And you already know she's got emotional abuse locked and loaded.
So I was 20 years old and driving drunk. Yes I was/am an idiot. I have never driven drunk in the 21 years since. I was so stupid I was trying to creep alleyways instead of just driving normally to get back to my apartment.
I pulled out of an alley and a man in a truck speeding very much over the limit hit the front right on the car I was driving, totalling both. He hit me so hard my car spun over 360 degrees, off the road and into a tree. We were both unhurt.
So I get out of the car and approach the guy who's cussing me out and getting his phone. I begged him not to call the police (which was a joke this was a bad crash right across the tracks from downtown, not like they weren't coming anyway). The guy says fuck you and calls the cops.
He was drunk too. We rode to jail handcuffed side by side in the same car. We got out on PR next day and we see each other. The guy is like hey motherfucker you cost me my job. I just said you called the cops on yourself!
Don't drive drunk kids. I was broke and this left me without a car for eight years as I couldn't get enough money together to pay the fine and take the classes, which was way way more than the price of a decent used car. I was also sentenced to additional time in county jail and it's the most scared I've ever been, and I'd had guns shoved in my face twice before this happened, and I'd been beaten by three cops in custody on another occasion. Jail was fucking terrifying. Just don't do it. There's always another option.
It's "toe the line". This difference is pretty important. I thought it was "tow the line" more than half my life because it sounds like pulling on a rope to go in the right direction.
It's actually more sinister. Get your toes on the line we drew. Perfect conformity of thought or action.
Nah this looked pretty well done, I wouldn't call it casual at all.
Maybe I'm wrong but I've got the horrible feeling that once Gabe dies the enshittification begins.
The catch is you have to save enough money to get through the months where lawns don't need mowed in most of the US.
Made it to a doctorate without understanding that all people everywhere remember and understand things differently.
Four people are in a car that mildly crashed on an icy road. Ask them independently, after a week, to tell the story of what happened.
I'm not the same person, but I'll give it a go. It's confusing in part because liberal often means leftish leaning in the US but not elsewhere.
For example Democrat and liberal are pretty much interchangeable in US political discourse, but that's not what the word means. Liberalism is more of an economic strategy. In this sense Democrats and Republicans are both liberals. They are all conservative liberals. Does that sound like a contradiction? Only in modern US politics. One party is just more conservative socially and more economically liberal.
Left or Leftist is generally in conflict with liberal ideology, as a leftist believes in strong social safety nets like universal healthcare, universal basic income, etc. Depending on the type of leftist, this could mean things like a planned economy, workers owning the means of production, or even collectivist anarchy. Examples of leftists are Socialists and Communists.
This is why, to a leftist, it's so damn funny when a republican calls a democrat a radical leftist. No self respecting leftist would be a member of the democratic party.
Sorry for all the US centric shit on a thread about France but I think that's where the confusion usually comes from.
You'd be shocked how much anti union hate is alive and well in impoverished Republican areas. The propaganda succeeded.
Fun fact about that fun fact. They ground them up shell and all before serving them to the prisoners so yeah it was still garbage food.
It seems like nothing they say matters anymore. Some Republicans want to get rid of Medicare. You would think this would lose them massive votes among the elderly, their biggest constituency. But it just doesn't seem to matter.

Stealing copper, getting under older cars and cutting out catalytic converters, yes. Copper is not a big money maker but it's better than collecting aluminum cans.
The problem with 90% of crime is poverty. They do hundreds of dollars of damage to make a few bucks. If we had universal basic income or better safety nets these crimes would nearly vanish overnight.
